WTF! Woman Dumps Cat In Bin

Thats just the Knee Jerk hang em and lynch em type response thats lazy and ill thought out.

How is that a knee jerk reaction? She attempted to kill a cat and if it had been a busy road may well have succeeded. If a cat mauls a stranger they're killed in an instant. A month in the slammer where she can meet some not so friendly animal lovers would be my verdict.

So you would potentially kill the loving mother/father of someone, a great scientist who might make a great scientific discovery that saves 1000's, a great sports hero who may become an inspiration to others e.t.c. over......a cat?

sad

I would have no idea who the stranger was. I'd happily jam that button if it meant saving the cat.

Let me present you with a moral quandry. Two buttons, one kills a stranger but gives you a million pounds. The other button simply does nothing. Which would you press?

Your no scion of the Tabloid editors thats for sure.

I'm sorely tempted to post that Kevin Carter picture in here to put things in perspective but on reflection it might be crass of me.

Its no form of reaction really at all.

She obviously has mental problems, do you disagree?

Before you could press that button I would be hitting one to pop your cogs first.

I detest animal cruelty. Whilst I am not an animal lover per se the fact that people are needlessly cruel to animals because they can get away with it really boils my ****.

But wanting to kill someone for binning a cat is just moronic. Seriously have a word with yourself. After that word if you still come up with wanting to kill people over animal welfare get yourself institutionalised or go jump off something high headfirst. Either or as far as I am concerned.

The most we can hope for is that she gets run over and left for dead one night.

Go crawl back into your hole.

I have no idea where you got the idea I wanted to kill some-one for binning a cat. You're also contradicting your 'you sociopath' slant with the last few sentences there.

too much stock into human beings? are you ***** serious?

your sound like a complete tool

That's a bit ironic.

May have been slightly wrong in the interpretation but you are saying you would kill somone to save a cat?

Point still stands that this is a moronic attitude.

Nothing to do with being a sociopath, you said that not me. More to do with being a moron.

I agree she has problems and as I said earlier she needs to understand that her actions were cruel and unacceptable.

But I think that just locking people up willy nilly is not very productive to society as a whole (bleedin hell I'm sounding like a bloody left winger here ) We need to understand why.

Is she a battered wife ?

has she been subject to abuse ?

has she suffered some kind of Loss ?

or is she just Cruel ,thick and sadistic ?

either way I'm curious.

What I find most astonishing is the Lady's age and ordinary looking apearance.

the button that did nothing...

It comes down to how much you value a human over a cat. 100 times more value? If a cat that suffers domestic abuse goes and mauls a child, no one looks at that and the cat is instantly killed to the joy of local residents.

Now some people are saying a little jail time is over the top? Seems you value humans infinitely more than cats.

The other one, I've seen that film didn't do Cameron Diaz any good at all.
But why? There's no consequence to pushing the stranger button. You love your cat, you value it for the joy and happiness it brings to your family, yet you'd choose to forsake in favour of a stranger you don't know, would never meet and whose death would have zero effect on you. It would be as if the button didn't do anything at all.

The human condition in general is an incredibly interesting one. This isn't a slight on absolutely anyone at all, I just love having these kinds of philosophical and ethical discussions :p

Thing is it would have an effect on me. A massive effect. I'd know I was responsible for a person death. Put it this way, I'd kill my family cat to save a persons life, any person. Stranger or otherwise.

I echoe you.

I have no material aspirations whatsoever and I'm free. :)

I hate it how my friends want to know how much my Suit, Watch, and Car Cost me.

and assume that you could forsake the life of a stranger for a million bleedin quid !

I like it when the Yahoodies say "he who saves one life saves the world entire". ;)

That is probably the weirdest thing I have ever read. Just.. how completely screwed up.

You say you wouldnt know the person - well like you ever 'know' a cat either!

I have material aspirations, however I would rather not have a million quid if it meant i had to live with the guilt of killing someone who was potentially a great person.

If it was say....100 Billion pounds then this might be a different matter as the amount of people I could save, even just by donating a small percentage of that to charities/scientific research, may outweigh the loss of one life.

It would still be a hugely difficult decision though.

On further reflection (on the 100 Billion pound idea) it would depend on where the money is coming from. If i just pressed the button that didnt kill anyone, where does the money go?
