Anyone fancy a Mk1 or Mk2 Escort?

Awaits 'OMG HOW MUCH FOR AN OLD FORD LOLOL'.

I think the same person has brought over a few transporters worth before, all ideal for projects.

OMG HOW MUCH FOR AN OLD FORD LOLOL...as those are quite cheap. :p

This thread, added to the Volvo one and the Lada one make me want to buy something old like this and put silly money I don't have into it to make it sideways fun. :(

As decent ones are fetching 10k now there's a good investment there for the right person. Even if you spent 3k on each sorting them you'd still double your money which i make around 50k profit.
Get them turned around in 12 months in a farm building & draw 10k on finishing each one would set a dude up.

Can't believe how little we were letting our old Fords go for a few years ago. Glad I held on to one of them now :p

I don't a converted import wouldnt fetch as much as a genuine UKer, people in this line of car tend to be purist to the extreme.

At those prices anyone after a trackcar/project would be well away. Stick a Zetec or something in there, beef up the suspension/brakes, tidy up the worst of any bodywork that needs doing and have fun.

In 2003 I got a Mk2 1.6 2-door for £170.

Running. In good condition (albeit bright pink!)

I stripped the running gear/interior out, and sold the empty chassis on eBay for £175.

If I'd kept it as is, I'd be looking at ~£5k now...
