I'm not defending i'm admitting ATI have problems.
The problem is that both brands are unlikely to have major issues at the same time so what's the point in each side having ago at each other.
Why the compulsion.

No i mean childishness.

You can reason with me but he is not trying to & just wants everyone to shut up when an NV users pokes fun at ATI problems.

both sides have them at times that's a given so why start a a bickering match when its one sides turn with problems.
You will see that i have only entered about 1 or 2 NV problem threads max & that's only because of a few members compulsion to poke to show them that its not all roses on the other side for all.

I don't feel the need to go into every NV problem thread to poke even when NV have more problem at the time.

Just to add my 2 pence worth.

I too have recently moved from ati back to nvidia because of random drop outs in games using ati drivers. Most annoying in the middle of a game of dirt 2 or tmnu when your either gonna win or post your quickest time!

They were always atikmdag.sys errors which I couldn't diagnose or come up with a consistent fix for. I spent 6 months trying to find a stable system and I just couldn't using the ati card.

Note the 5870 was a direct repacement for a gtx 275 I had in there, the only system change was the card no change in clocks or anything.

I admit that the issue could have been a hardware fault with the card (unlikely though it passed stress testing just fine).

From a gaming point of view everything is fine with the nvidia card. However the latest driver has bug when playing blu rays in power dvd 8 and just bsods immediately. Fortunatly this is an error I can replicate so I know what the issue is and no how to avoid it.

Both sides have problems plain & simple & thats all, so what if they don't have them at the same time.

One boy gets the cane for bunking off school, the other boy laughs.
8 months later the other boy gets the cane for bunking off school, the previous boy laughs.
"yeah but i haven't had the cane recently" like that changes anything of the facts that they both got the cane for the same thing, so poking served no reason when they are both as guilty in the long run.

The only reason is that some people get off on it.
And that's why when some of them changed brands then they start it all over again.

I have had very little issues but im not going to preach that ATI have the better drivers because of my good experience with them.

If thats directed at me, did you even look at the specs in my signature, the system is far from "crap" and it most definately can handle the 2 cards in the system, the specs of the components are more than able to cope with what I have installed in there no problems at all, please before you go blaming me for picking poor parts or not having a suitable spec check your facts.
