Why should benchmarking be purely within the realms of some people who write for technology sites? His hobby is clearly gaming and the high end hardware that accompanies it, doesn't seem such a leap that he would want to share that in some way with others, especially in the PC section of forum of an hardware enthusiast site. So I stand by the people GTFO'ing on how they've reacted to it.

Waffle on all you like about doctors and viable pursuits pal... It's not the fact he's sharing benchmarks, it's the reason behind sharing them.

Look at how he's presented his video, overclocked his system to the very limit and only presents figures, no personal findings or opinions. He's clearly gone out to number crunch games and show off his figures.

The proof is in the figures. Why would anyone (rightly so) care about his findings or opinions? The proof is there for all to see. Also, have a little look around the CPU and GPU forum sections. Everyone clocks to the limit. I clock to the limit. I bet YOU clock to the limit. Hell, this whole forum is built around OVERCLOCKERS. What's so wrong with just presenting figures and not a ton of waffling on hardly anyone will read? Whenever a new card or drivers is reviewed, I go straight for the figures and ignore the 'opinions' as it's a moot point anyway.

The whole dispute here from page 1 onwards is that the OP is wavering his benchmarks around in its own thread which is invoking responses such as:

Maybe if he DID reply with some personal findings, opinions, varied settings; this thread would have at least seemed somewhat useful to others and would have most likely resulted in none the above comments from ever appearing!

I only posted that myself because I didn't see the point of it being in this section really, like I said when I used to do the odd bit of benchmarking to see if my system was performing similar to others I posted it in the respected thread for my hardware. :) That always seemed the norm for me, I've seen benchmarking for specific games in the graphics card section but not in here before.

i was typing for about more than half an hour (no wait! actually it was more than 1 hour) :mad::mad: hell im not going to quote and reply again! forget it, im just going to summarize my comment and reply quickly.

Anyway, im really appreciated to those who agrees with me and not trolling like most of the people, really thank you so much guys im really greatful, hope you enjoy my vids.

And for those jealousy poorly childlish trollers all over my thread, you guys are not forced to watch/read/comment to my thread! if you don't like it just go and cry with your poor computers! uuuh kids these days...a lot of moaning in the morning.

Im not showing off with my benchmarks or anything like that, all i want to do is share them with ya, why even i bother to show off with a rig like mine? there is a lot of guys out there have better hardware than me, like 2x GTX480 or so..
Im entirely not showing off anything. My benchmarks can be very usefull for some people! it's obviously most of you guys don't know what are "BENCHMARKS" made for! it's for comparing each other, or just showing the performance for this kind of hardware, and mostly it's very usefull for anyone want to buy i new GPU like mine, because they want to see how it pefroms with the other cards before buying it, believe me, $650 - $750 is a lot of money, but it's not a lot for a one monster card like this, so no one want to spend this money to something they don't know anything about it! and sometimes, benchmarks can be really fun to challenge the other overclockers for the scores. And how can you be an experienced hardware guy without knowing anything about how that hardware does performs??? no one can be an experienced in the hardware without watching any reviews/benchmarks. These what benchmarks are made for you noobs! so are you telling me the famous reviewers/benchmarkers are showing off they got all these stuff? of course no, we all know that the companies send them these new things just to review or benchmark and post them on the internet to show how it performs, or even just for an advertisement of the product. There is no such "showing off" thing in the scoring records/BENCHMARKING world.

And for those people who said this is the wrong section for my thread, believe me, more than one week ago i posted my thread in graphics card section ( all i post is one thread about Mafia 2 benchmarks ) and there were a lot of trollers out there, and most of them said Games section is the right one for my kind of thread, i actually see "graphics card" section is the right one because it showing the performance of this monster card! i don't know what does that have to do with games section, but anyway i PM an admin and asked him to delete that thread because i decide to start a new one contains all my benchmarks.

So yeah! i don't have that much to talk about, but that's all i got. I have some benchmarks and i want to share them with you, and share my new gaming channel, i don't see any problem with that.

anyway..im going to buy a whole new computer and post a new benchmarks in other thread, and i assure you that it will be a massive performance hell of a rig! i7-980X OC @ 4.3+ GHz - 2 x ATI 5970 CrossFire or Two/Quad GTX480 or maybe the new ATI 6XXX series - Asus Rampage III Extreme / 12GB of DDR3 2000MHz and a lot of other great stuff! im sure everyone will enjoy watching the performance of this bunch of hardware ;) but im not happy with posting my benchmarks because there is a lot of trollers here that get really jealous of other's people computers.
Just wait for about 1 month so i can think about buying that, believe me, it will be a very very a lot of money to pay (more than $6500) and i have to think about it carefully because my exact rig right now didn't pass through 5 months! it's more likely "new" lol, i don't want to upgrade my computer and add something more, i want the feel of buying a new powerfull computer again :cool:

Just calm down guys and enjoy watching the benchmarks, there is no need to get jealous around here.

Yeah everyone is sat in a pool of there own urine thinking of how to get £2000 out of there mommy and daddy for a top of the range pc...

This thread is of no use to anyone on its own. Thats just a fact. Not only is it in the PC GAMES section, when surely it should go somewhere in the hardware section like either graphics cards or overclocking or whatever, it contains ONE set of data. Who gives a flying **** what his setup can achieve? I'm quite sure the difference between stock and his overclock isn't a great deal and certainly not worth bragging about.

Whether or not the OP wants to admit his blatant attempts to show off, a thread about only his own benchmarks with 1 setup is irrelevant. If i have to go search other sites to find benchmarks that actually do a proper comparison between this setup and others then what good is it. I could tell before i watched a damn video that all it was going to show is a good looking game, even a monkey could've told me that. Had this thread contains comparisons, there wouldn't be as many 'bad feeling' posts, the setup has nothing to do with it.
