I'm sick of foreign people

Trolling? Or worried about the diluting of his national identity?
I beleive that Jon has grown up under the recently abolished Labour brainwashing.
EDIT: Just checked, and yes he is a product of the last government's brainwashing. Congratulations on that Jon.

This.
Please tell me how this is right on any level?

I must apologize for allowing a few hours to elapse between stints on the computer. I had a few things to do, then went shopping at Brent Cross. The place was jam-packed with bloody foreigners! :(

I put this in Speakers Corner because I intended a debate on the nature of whether an Englishman in London can feel like he lives in England. My words were chosen to be a bit provocative, in the hope of eliciting some passionate arguments from those who would like to debate the topic with me.

Regrettably, I should have anticipated it would descend into a vitriolic petition to declare me a bigot, rather than produce any worthwhile opposing arguments.

The point I wish to get across is that in contrast to the way in which most European capitals contain a majority population native to the respective countries of said cities, London contains a minority of English people amongst its population. I feel like I live in a land other than England, not just because I continually encounter foreign people whilst out and about, but also because the streets of London are awash with shops of a foreign nature. These people and businesses combine to make me feel 'not at home'.

For example, when I lived in Stoke Newington aka Little Istanbul, a ten minute walk would enable me to reach only one proper chip shop, yet over a dozen kebab shops.

Dude. Go into any of those shops and speak english. They will speak English back. You are in England remember. Trust me, they will speak the language.

Thing is, even if all immigrants or people that looked a little bit foreign if you squint (to please the OP) left, the UK would still be a multi-cultural society cause of the different cultural practises and accents etc from its "native" population. Example being the differences between cockneys and brummies etc...

And what is wrong with controversial?
Maybe you are happy to only speak what you are told you can speak, but I applaud people like the OP who speaks his mind in spite of the flak he'll take from the morally indignant brigade.

I know this is a pretty basic and cliché argument, but a lot of foreigners take jobs that the people in this country would not want to take. Such as cleaning. You don't see 'Natives' going around saying "damn I really wanted that job as a cleaner, but some bloody foreigner has taken it!"

He posts something inflammatory which, having been a forum member for several years, he knows will be a controversial topic.

It is only inflammatory to those who strongly disagree with his opinions though. Lots of topics are controversial, that doesn't mean the ops of those are trolls.

Speak his mind? Yes, we're all allowed to speak our mind, otherwise this thread would be deleted.

And yes, he is free to speak his mind. But then, other people are also free to speak their mind, so opposition to his view is almost inevitable.

What he's saying is that he hates seeing foreign people in England. Surely this is borderline racism, as it's a dislike of another race.

Ok....I'll have a go.

For many years we have had long distance lorry drivers driving their lorries to this country. These drivers come from many different countries and maybe those road signs are for the benefit of those drivers.

I know this is a pretty basic and cliché argument, but a lot of foreigners take jobs that the people in this country would not want to take. Such as cleaning. You don't see 'Natives' going around saying "damn I really wanted that job as a cleaner, but some bloody foreigner has taken it!"

And the Labour government didn't "persuade" the natives to take these jobs, instead they allowed mass immigration from a poorer country to fund the lavish payouts to the workshy buggers that wouldn't take these jobs.
If the Labour spendaholics had made benefits payouts less attractive, we wouldn't have needed the massive influx of economic migrants. And before you slate me, I have some very good Polish friends that agree wholeheartedly. You can't blame the foreigners for doing what is best for them, only our government for making it so attractive.

@ i-bert. : Not a bad effort mate. Lol. But that looks mighty like Polish to me, not "many different countries" languages.

going by the average age of the people who post on these boards they are nearly all the product of the Labour brainwashing machine, sad really that so many people think what is happening to this country is acceptable.
