Gomes and Dawson both down and out for me now. Might hold onto Gomes for a few weeks though. Not sure whether to ditch Dawson asap (ie tonight) before his value plummets - 23% of teams have him so assuming half those are still active he'll lose .1/.2 in no time.

Edit: Yup, got rid of Dawson and bought in Young. Mark my words Dawson's value will drop by .1 or .2 by next GW. I was going to bring in Richards as the MC backline is a bit more stable, but getting Young was a little bit tactical - hopefully his value will go up by .1 or .2 because of everyone doing the same as me.

Got curious as to how the value system actually works. All the rules say is:

Player prices vary during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player values will not change until the season starts.

Nothing about form or points scored, just popularity. But I took a few of the changers and stuck them into Excel:

Most are around the 40k mark to change by .1, but Drogba and Carroll are way off. Does anybody know if they are altered manually and/or based on form/points scored as well?
 
It's just you, I am still thinking about what to do about Dawson, do I leave him in and use Givet instead and wait for next week for my free transfer, or do I sub him out and hope the player I bring in gets over 4 points? Hmmm....

I'm not sure but I think that players can only change in value by .1 each night, no more than that but not sure if they carry over the number of transfers onto the next days rise/fall. So say for example Malouda got 80k transfers on the day, he goes up .1 but only needed 50k to change, what happens to the extra 30k transfers, are they wiped or carryed onto the next day?
 
Hmm, Anelka or Cashley as captain this week? Or do I go for Carroll as an outside bet? I just figure he'll stop scoring at some point!

shaping up to be a terrible week for me, 21 points so far :(

No goalkeepers playing, none of my strikers scored (1 assist between the 3 of them) and my week depends on Ferguson (BIRM), Bowyer (BIRM), Etherington (STOKE), Dunne (VILLA) :(
