After the cat being put in the bin, we have puppies being thrown in a river

RTM anything if you feel it's inappropriate and we will decide if it should be removed, we can't read every single thread and watch every single video that gets posted.

To be blunt, progressive attitudes to animal rights are a luxury most rural Bosnians can't really afford.

You put it far better than I did.

I've removed one video already, but thank you for taking the time to question the moderation of the forums.

Get off your high horse, you all do a fantastic job for no pay but my quote was tit for tat.

This is how messed up you are.
You care about puppies but you don't care about real people suffering.
Shame on you.

Earlier this year I was the person lying in the hospital bed after having cancer operation/treatment and I went through months of agony and hell, hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life - and I give a toss about said puppies. Have I 'lived life' enough by your standards for my opinion to be valid?

So are you saying you also put puppies above sick people?
ST admitted that he didn't care about people like you and put puppies above you.
Perhaps you didn't read his post.

I think some of you need to experience real life a bit more.
Watching at least 10 relatives slowly die from cancer and seeing a mate lying on the road with his head hanging off certainly puts things into perspective than getting upset over some unmoralistic Bosnian girl throwing unwanted puppies into a cold river to meet a quick death.
If you want to see some really upsetting things you should walk a day in my shoes at the hospital.
Watching that video registered about 3% of my 'Give a toss' scale.

No, you were saying once you have seen such hardship as people lying in their hospital beds suffering with cancer and whatever else, then that quells any feelings of empathy one would have about puppies being tossed into a fast flowing river and put it into perspective - and that people who haven't seen real suffering are too empathetic to what is, in your opinion, something trivial in the grand scheme of things, the world, etc.

I am saying that I have lived through such hardships, closer than yourself - I have gone through such suffering as being in a hospital bed in immense pain daily, worrying about cancer etc and I still have a lot of empathy for the dogs.

I was ultimately asking, after having proved experience of suffering to you, if my opinion on the matter is now valid in your ever-wise, much more wordly than us, big pictured, opinion.

Living in a town house made up of three levels could be potentially scary, as I have seven pets here. In the unfortunate event of there being a fire I would be going back in to retrieve my pets, or die trying.

So, just going to pretend you missed my argument and reiterate this - nice.

You asked if your experiences allowed you an opinion - absolutely.
Everybody is allowed an opinion even without experiences.

So answer my question -
Do you put puppies above sick & dying people?
Remember ST said he didn't give a toss about people like you dying in hospital but gave a toss about puppies being thrown in a river.

Of course I don't, but that has no impact on the subject what so ever - because I've still experienced such suffering and don't see why that should then make me care less about suffering of other creatures, if anything it makes me care more about other peoples/animals suffering.

- and I was not dying of cancer, it was not terminal.
