Worst decisions done by companies...

Modern Business makes little sense.
I ordered a replacement filter from a company in Watford (U.K.) on Wed., on Friday I got an email via America from the German director of logistics telling me that the Belgium HQ had cocked up the collection of my order from the French warehouse. I phoned an 0800 number and spoke to an Icelandic lady who told me that it would be delivered the next Monday.
I don't know why American companies think it a great idea to 'centralize' their European branch in Belgium with it's time and language differences.

Only the UK and portugal are in a different time zone, we are the minority.

Belgium and Luxembourg have a high percentage of foreign language speakers so hiring speakers of other languages for your customer services is cheaper.

How many french speakers do you think they'll find in rotherham?

SE and the whole Android/Multi-touch business.

Sony and UMD

Microsoft and Windows ME

Cadburys - getting rid of Wispas/Wispa Golds

in the states it's filtered properly as you'd expect of a premium water, whereas here in the UK it was just bilgewater pumped up from the Thames with the twigs and the bodies removed :D

Didnt that turn out to be tap water, a'la Peckham Springs?

Yes thats why it got canned, because it was just tap water.

If its properly filtered mineral water in the US, that explains why they love it to smuch.

I assumed when i was over there they were still selling tap water :D

Mind you, Coca Cola arent exactly a stranger to **** ups. What about "new" coke ? :D

The key words in bold dumbed down text makes me think I'm reading The Sun :D

I can understand why they've made it so they can reduce their average emissions (or whatever it is they have to do) across the range but why does it have to be so god damn ugly?

The BBC changing Top of the Tops from Thursday to a Friday slot. Most teenagers/adolescents go out on Friday nights, and considering that this was TOTP's demographic, I considered that to be a bad move. I know it doesn't matter now though because TOTP is no longer aired.

I used to be a huge Pizza Hut fan as a kid, though to be fair they had an almost near monopoly on cheap crap manufactured pizza (with spray oil *shudders* put on afterwards).

As annoying as Papa Johns are with their pricing, it is just such a nicer pizza. I think Pizza Hut realised they weren't going to compete so tried a healthier 'Pasta' approach to things.

Jif - Cif

That was because where it wanted to go, languages were spoken that couldn't pronounce Jif. Think (though don't quote me on this) it may have done alright elsewhere.

Coca Cola changing the centuries old cola recipe, because they got bored. Then having to change it back when sales nose dived.

I was going to mention new Coke. They actually ended up doing okay out of the change because they made a big fuss about changing back. Most people thought it was just a publicity stunt.
