DON'T move to stratford it is a complete dive. Please don't. All the Olympic works and fancy new flats won't make it nicer.

Horrible place especially at night, I cannot stress that enough!

We only spend £60 a week on food AND bathroom/cleaning stuff/loo roll for 2 people.

If you rinse BOGOF and half price offers, and do some shopping at lidl, stuff can be really cheap.
 
It's a bit like a refugee camp crossed with Basra and loads of wanna be hard men and illegals.

I've spent enough time working around Stratford both days and nights and it really isn't a nice place, trust all the posts on this. Asim will probably defend it but then again he is weird one.

Of course I will defend it -Ad-. I've lived here all my life. Yes there are loads of illegals and people who cant speak English, but they don't bother me, I have no business with them.. :)

It's full of crazies but I wouldn't say that it's dangerous. I don't know anyone who's had any trouble in Stratford. The areas around Stratford (Forest Gate, Leyton, Bow) are far worse.

I guess everything is relative though. :)
 
Why don't you live in Greenwich/ Blackheath? Both a million gazillion times nicer. Closer to New Cross too (Goldsmiths?)

New Cross is a dump too. I think Greenwich and Blackheath are a little oasis in a sea of ****.
