*** Show us your Dogs ***

Awe poor fella, he'll be alright, if he is still full of beans and it's not impairing him in any way just slowing him down a little it'll it should be fine leaving well alone.

I know Max is only young but try him on that pedigree joint care plus for senior dogs. We bought some for the BF's dad's dog and he seemed a lot better in himself, it took a while to kick in but it did the trick.

The acupunture would relieve some of the pain and help promote circulation apparantly it works for arthritic doggies so it might help, won't be the cure but it'll help.

xx for Max

Max is on Glucosamine in the form of Cosequin DS also food suppliments such as rose hip (very high Vit C suppliment with out the same problems as vit C found in fruit).

If it gets worse he will go back onto metacam when he is older but hopefully his diet will help aswell (Raw)

I don't really believe in Accupuncture for people let along dogs but that's my opinion :) I think anyone stcking needles in him might lose some fingers/hand the first time they try it ;)

I know how bad this must seem to someone else who obviously loves their dog but I don't think I could put Max through all that, he's fully insured aswell but dont think it would improve his quality of life but I will have to wait and see how things go with him.

That doesn't seem bad at all, I can understand completely where you are coming from, it's certainly not something we want to subject our bundle of trouble to, each dog has different needs of course.

On the other hand ours does have it very badly, it's obvious to see when he sits as he very rarely sits straight but pokes his leg out to the side and when he's walking his front elbow sometimes gives way and trips him. :(

Since he's been on anti-inflammatories he's been a different dog, very lively and bouncy, his real personality is coming out which shows what problems he is having otherwise.

We're not sure whether surgery will be the best option yet, have to leave it to the experts to decide, we've not had the x-rays done as yet but in our case I think the improvement it could make for him long term would be worth it short term.

Now he is much better trained than when we first had him I'm desperate to take him out throwing balls etc. for him over the field which he loves, but he can only have short works at the moment in case he overdoes it. Poor thing!

Some pictures of the dogs me and my girlfriend have helped look after at some shows

Dave and Pablo are the awesome. :D

Pablo looks properly evil in the last pic though. What breed are they? Chihuahua I guess?

More huskies :(

Whats wrong with huskies?

It's ill-informed people looking after them and giving them a bad name and 'bad temperament' name.

Not my most preferred dog, but still good

AND thats a Schnauzer in the last pic ;)

I think tom was saying earlier he wants a husky so more pictures make im sad, not a dig at the breed :)

haha thanks, they are a couple of little terrors tho.

Yeah they are both Chihuahua's but Pablo is very large and we got him from a home that had to get rid of their dogs, not a breeder, but I'm pretty sure he is a pure Chi - just a little on the bigger size, well as big as a Chi can get lol.

Forget how small they are until you see another dog next to them, my mums Schnauzer is much bigger than them and it is not like they are those tiny teacup ones either, those I would probably stand on lol.
