Not so much remorse for the hangover, but the money.

Do you ever wake up in the morning, and just hate yourself for getting drunk and spending ridiculous amounts of money the night before?

Yes. I wake up and look at my wallet and think where on earth did that go? The sad part is that it'll happen again and again...

Nope, because I spend what I can afford and not go out with the intention to get smashed?

There was no intention to get smashed. It just started as a lovely birthday BBQ for a friend, with no smashed up intentions, and just somehow ended up rather messy.

And we're not saying I can't afford it, more what you could have spend the money on. For example, I could have built an extension on the house going by the receipts i'm finding in my pockets.

Yeah, usualy take out a certain ammount. Then when im smashed I end up going to the cash machine and taking out more.

Next morning im left with a massive pile of change :(

Yep! I'm going away today though so I had to stop in last night. Knowing I've got an extra £80 in my pocket compared to the lads and no hangover knowing how they feel this morning is, refreshing. :)

I rarely go out and get hammered, and frequently enjoy reading peoples facebook status's - explaining how rotten they feel after peeing £80 up the wall on a beer/kebab/taxi combo.

Nothing beats the feeling of waking up with a clear head and £80 in your pocket :)

It’s called post Saturday night remorse syndrome. Feelings of guilt remorse and pain only to be forgotten by the time you have a Sunday lunchtime drink.

You should try staying in and drinking tbh, invite your mates over all chip in a tenner to get food and beers, then voilà all sweet and cheap, also getting some money together to pay for a bit of light entertainment ;) is a must lol.

not really because im a bit of a lightweight still and about half a bottle (70cl) will see me of a whole evening, around 5/6 pints of cider tops normally ill buy rounds but if 6 of you go its only the one to buy :)

The guilt is from vitamin B deficiency.

I could lock myself in a pitch black room, speak to no one all night and drink a bottle of jack daniels, and I'd still feel like an ******** in the morning.

I get a load of free money from the government/you lot... being a student's fun... so I worry less about the money and more about having to face two hour lectures on public law, etc, whilst hungover. Well, I'm done with public law now, but next semester I have EU law and I'd wager that's going to be hellish.

Free money? Would that be a student loan? You do realise you've got to pay that back eh?

EU Law is not much fun hungover or completely fresh but as long as you remember the differences between the institutions, what effect the various types of instructions have (resolutions, directives etc) and a few of the bigger cases (Van Duyn vs Home Office, Cassis case etc) then you should be fine.

I just don't get the culture tbh. I go out with my friends every week, they get absolutely sloshed and spend a fortune. I buy a few rounds but only ever have one alcoholic drink, drive me and friends home, get up for work the next day no problem. I usually have a pretty good time when I go out, and never really understood why I would want to get drunk, I hate it.

Suppose it depends on what you call a ridiculous amount of money.

Friday night cost me £140 and it was worth every penny:)
