Teen Banned From US For Barracking Obama

Shocking that while someone was being raped and murdered the police were chastising someone for name calling, can't they just do their job for once instead of squandering our taxes?

On another note, it's a worrying state that our privacy laws are so poor as to allow the ISP to divulge an IP address over an insult, VPN's are almost becoming a necessity these days in draconian Britain.

I'm guessing the immature prat who sent the email signed it with his own name. Nothing to do with IP addresses.

How do they enforce these bans? I'm assuming there is a massive database linked to all the airports/border patrol or something?

Passport control.

I wonder if Home Land are monitoring who checks out the news about this.

Better increase the OcUK Terrorist sub forum to 20,000 posts dons, in case they have infiltrated us!! Decrease the porn sub forum though, that will keep them occupied for a bit.

haha, well, if you do things like that what do you expect?

A shrug? For it to be deleted and at the worst to be told to stop being an idiot? It does seem ever so slightly disproportionate.

He said, 'Oh dear, it was me'

I just think that's fantastic, harks back to criminals saying "it's a fair cop guv, you got me bang to rights" and all that sort of stuff. :D

Chances are it was the Secret Service and the FBI - the US Secret Service takes any threats against any President quite seriously, and in this instance I'd guess banning someone from entering the country was a fairly simple thing for them to do (IIRC depending on the threat/level of abuse they can go for prison time).

now the ESTA is fully live it probably only takes a few mouse clicks lol.

What absurd hyperbole. Just how are the police to know who is being raped and murdered and where and when?

And his home address?

They're a proactive force, police officers on the street can prevent crime happening.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: "The individual sent an email to the White House full of abusive and threatening language.

Seems they were spot on then.

So at what level do we decriminalise things so that the police can get on with "real work"?

If sending abusive e-mails to the President of the USA is not a worthy use of their time, but rape and murder are, then where is the dividing line?
