Shocking that while someone was being raped and murdered the police were chastising someone for name calling, can't they just do their job for once instead of squandering our taxes?

On another note, it's a worrying state that our privacy laws are so poor as to allow the ISP to divulge an IP address over an insult, VPN's are almost becoming a necessity these days in draconian Britain.

I'm guessing the immature prat who sent the email signed it with his own name. Nothing to do with IP addresses.
 
How do they enforce these bans? I'm assuming there is a massive database linked to all the airports/border patrol or something?

They're a proactive force, police officers on the street can prevent crime happening.

So at what level do we decriminalise things so that the police can get on with "real work"?

If sending abusive e-mails to the President of the USA is not a worthy use of their time, but rape and murder are, then where is the dividing line?
