How Amazing Is Ricky Gervias!!!!!

The only funny thing about Gervais is that some people think he's funny! But then I'm just laughing at them, not Gervais.

No it wouldn't - not by a long long way.

Since then I find him hit or miss. Didn't mind his stand-up and Extras was excellent in parts and awful in others. His radio stuff I could do without.

A lot of haters in here! I think he is hilarious, but I can understand how easy it is not to like him. Only thing of his I haven't liked is the invention of lying which was utter crap. The Office, Extras, XFM shows and Animals/Fame were all great.
 
I think he was funnier about 10 years ago now he is just tiresome, repetative and sometimes annoying
 
I think most of the stuff he's done is brilliant.

Love the XFM shows, Podcasts less so, Extras and The Office were great.

I don't think he's a **** at all, it's his persona when he's on screen/radio. I'm sure he's a different man off screen.

I don't think he's ever laughed at his own jokes when i've seen him in stand up, but i can't be 100% sure on that.
 
I liked his earlier stand up, I love The Office (although I prefer An American Workplace) and I thought some episodes of Extras were quite funny, but I don't really like any of his other material that I've watched and heard. I've not see the newest show he's doing but if it's anything like the trailers where he just takes the constant **** out of his "friend" and laughs as if what he's just heard is the funniest thing since the dawn of time then I don't really think it will be for me. He's too far up his own arse nowadays, I preferred him as an emerging talent.
 
Should have chose a better title mate, you're just going to get loads of negative posts in this thread.

I like his stand up, the Bible one was brilliant. Also loving his XFM shows at the moment.

Seems like he's got a bit too big and mainstream now though, doubt he would ever do a show like XFM again :(.
