I keep trying until the red lines disappear.
That just makes me sneeze a lot so I quit.

You've been reading the daily mail too much.
I'm dyslexic, and rather predictably, my son has learning disabilities too.
What provision has been made for him at school ?
A slated writing board and some pencil grips !!
Do you like to make the letter board put the words on the computer?
I would never even go near the Daily Mail, let alone read it.
I wonder if the rate of [diagnosed] dyslexics is a higher proportion in the 'geek community' than the general population? I certainly see suggestions that an awful lot of nerds are borderline (if not full blown) Asperger's.![]()
There's a test called the AQ test which can be used to diagnose autism and the like, insofar as those with high scores are typically autistic. It's more correlation than anything else, but it's pretty good from what I understand of it. Anyway. 80% of autistics score 32 or above on the test. I scored 34. Now, am I genuinely autistic (somewhere on the spectrum) or do I just game my answers in the right direction to appear that way, because as a geek I too "aspire" to be autistic?
I think the majority of people are just lazy and/or apathetic about literacy and pull the 'Dyslexia card' to get away with it.
I'm sure some people have a genuine word recognition problem though, but I think the actual figure for those people is probably much lower than is thought.
where did you get this daft idea that providing for kids with SEN consists of giving out free laptops etc.. ??
Aside from the government funded extra tuition which brought is reading age back from being 3 years behind to just 1, he only has a few pencil grips and a writing board provided for him !
It's long been "fashionable" for geeks to think they are autistic, or have Asperger's, because they believe it signifies increased scientific or mathematical ability, Rain Man stylee.
Slashdot is a nightmare for it.

What does DNA stand for?
I only tend to make a few spelling and grammar mistakes if I reply too quickly without proofreading.
