im sorry, i feel to go on a little rant. i just watched a news report about the terrible famine they have in niger right now.

How the **** can any **** sit there with millions and millions of pounds and let it sit in the bank. Why is britain and all the wealthy nations not sorting out the ******* poverty in this godamn world. it really winds me up that 50% of the worlds wealth is owned by 2% of the population, its a disgusting fact and I wanna slap a certain few greedy human beings.. seriously, one world, no countries, no nationalism, no racism, no wars would be THE WAY. People need to realise that.

Because a lot of those people have worked very hard to earn their money, and might not want to give it out to countries where it would end up in the hands of drug lords and so forth.

go read up on what the worlds richest people are doing with their money at the moment. you might be surprised.

also, if the people who experience famine for year after year after decade etc continue to stay where they are then they deserve no more money!
move to more sustainable land where you can grow as normal.

You're looking at an ideal Salami. The problem with it is the practicalities. It's not as simple as making the entire world socialist (an ideal) as unfortunately wealth tends to be produced in centralised locations albeit often at the expense of peripheral countries which are by definition poverty ridden.

The world is the way the world is because of its ridicliously complex history and interaction. It would be nice if that equality existed today, but it doesn't because we're not there yet. So, rather than ranting about it and hoping to wake up and everything is fair, do what you can in your own life to work towards that goal.

listen, people work hard for their money. Good, im glad for those people, but im not saying take all there money and give it to people who havnt worked hard. Give some of it awayy so people have the basic necessities to live. and who gives a **** if people have worked hard. Richard branson can suck my plums, yea he seems like a good bloke, **** him, he does not need billions, no one does. its sitting in a bank whereas it could be feeding starvin people, paying for education so poor countries can get out of their cycle of poverty, paying for healthcare so people wont die off diarahea and pathetic things like that.

Because they generally massacre each other all the time.

So if you really want to help them you have two choices

1) leave them to it, let them fight though their wars until some semblance of stability arises and then hope whoever in charge is willing to accept your help in a way you can support.

2) go in and engage in possibly the bloodiest war in the history of mankind, killing millions and force order upon them then spend decades and many more lives keeping that order. Assuming of course you can even win such a war.

salami do you have a job? are you aware of the amount of people that get paid, pay taxes (to cater for those on benefits in this country (etc)) then pay bills and have not much left a month?
How much of their money do you want to take?

my friend, you have no idea. Try growing crops without rainfall, without the seeds for the crops. They dont get any damn money, the money might be sent but its trickles down till most of the money doesnt even reach the people..

Why cant there be a bank that lends money to poorer people so they can start up businesses in their countries? That could EASILY work.

Or have less kids... Less people, less food worries... Not to mention unsustainable farming practices, corruption and multiple other issues.

Also OP it's not like that many rich people just have millions sat in a bank doing nothing...

I dont think your following, Im not talking about taking money from people like me and you. you and i are not part of the 2%. The stupidly rich, the multi multi millionaires, the billionaires are. that is ****** greed, no other description. they could do so much good yet they do so little.

There are loads of schemes just like that, unfortunately if you live somewhere it's almost impossible to grow the required amount of food for your ten children then there is not really much others can do, other than maybe kill your children or force you to move somewhere else...

Have a look at what Bill Gates is doing too.

Until some rather cunning chaps with some Ak 47's figure out they can become very rich by taking over parts of that world.

or like what happened with every communist state, even more cunning chaps behind desks figure out they can syphon even more money off and become incredibly rich and powerful.

Also sharing the wealth means taking it from others, and they generally don't like that so you have to take it by force, ever increasing force as they become more and more resistant.

So then you end up with more and more authoritarian polcie states which cost ever increasing amounts to maintain so even more money has to be taken meaning more force and so more cost so less money goes to the people you intended to give it to in the first place and it all goes **** up.

define rich. I bet you would be surprised how many people (normal people) are within the time percentages that you are talking about.

do you have a clue about the gates foundation?
or the recent push to have the wealthiest people to give something like 50% of their wealth away?
