last time it also sold out in every supermarket chain i went to for weeks, so people can pre-order if they want to avoid a similar hassle.
I didnt pre order reach as i banked on the supermarkets getting into a price war.
They did kind of, tesco did it for £28 when you bought £16 of MS points, morrisons and sainsburys did it for £35.
They all had tons of stock on release day for what is going to be one of the top 5 big releases of this year. Black Ops will be the same.
The only real advantage to pre ordering is that you may get your copy a few days early.

I couldnt say for definate obviously but if they do it will be advertised a week or 2 before and you'll still be able to pre-order then, just avoid shopto.net (thanks Wyrdo!)

Fair point.
I've decided I'm actually really looking forward to this game now. There's something about a new CoD that's exciting! New maps to learn, new tactics and by the looks of things some new, possibly decent ideas from Treyarch. And the fact that most of the people on my friends list will have will be great.

Funny thing is iv'e just noticed that both lists are missing the "Archangel" missle which was supposedly a 5 killstreak reward - anyone got any ideas? Has it had a name change to the Valkyrie maybe?
I don't think you will see that many attack dogs tbh. 11 kills without stackable killstreaks, won't happen that often in game.
That's why everyone will use care packages on this game, easy way to get the higher KS.
Will use that Tesco code I think in my Mrs name, already used it on my card. Last time my mate got it from them 4 days before release and I'm sure it was so they could charge him the £35 before the shop offer of £28.

Either that or a lot more camping to build the streak up, which i dont mind as i'll only be playing Objective based games so they can camp away!
I'd happily pay £35 to get it 4 days early!
care packages dont add to your KS in mw2, so i doubt it will in this...
No thats no my point, what I'm saying is it's unlikely many people will get the 9,10 and 11 KS with gun/equipment kills only. So people will equip the care package to get the higher killstreak rewards because you can't do what you can do in MW2 and get a predator, two kills, harrier two kills, pavelow etc.
I can already see I will equip a 3/4/5 killstreak all the time and pick up the better KS from carepackages.
11 gun and equipment kills takes some doing without camping and scavenging.
ah i see, sorry the way i read it was that carepackage adds to KS, my bad. and i see myself doing similar.
3/4/5 seems the "best" so far.

A: Yes, Treyarch has confirmed that splitscreen mode is now available for online play

I can see myself going 3/4/5 too and split screen online play will be a nice feature to have. There will also finally be bots for practising against.
I did use 7/9/11 in MW2 for a time but found 5/7/11 or usually 5/7/9 killstreaks to be more effective. Getting 7 real kills in a row was a stretch for me. I think I have managed 11 in a row (rushing) a handfull of times in 20 solid days play. Care package it will need to be then. I have more fun running around killing people than camping myself

i have done 16 ak-47 kills. ONCE on highrise. bunch of noobs kept comming the same way...
but i normally die after 4-5 gun-only kills. i also use 5/7/9 on mw2
and im really looking forward to the practice mode...
