Reading around I think MS have discontinued making the wheel![]()
That's annoying, I was looking for it as a cheapish wheel that could be used on PC and Xbox

don't think there's any that are worth getting anyway. There's no cheap wheels I can think of that provide FFB on both platformsThat's annoying, I was looking for it as a cheapish wheel that could be used on PC and Xbox

I read this when the Madcatz new wheel was announced, the MS wheel wasn't the best ever, but I used it with reasonable success, and quite liked it!
I was trawling around the used highstreet gaming shops on the weekend and saw the MS wheel instore for £80 with a game included in the box, so there is stock around..
I love the Fanatec PWTS, but once the last few have been sold, the only choice is going to be the Madcatz wheel, which has no reviews yet, is over £100, and doesn't have a clutch..
MS need to pull their socks up, let Logitech create a cheap 360 wheel, or get Fanatec to do the new cheap Carrera wheel in a 360 flavour..

Logitech Drive FX has been out for ages. Works on PC and xbox 360 it has axial feedback and not force but it works well. I actualy prefer it to the official wheel.
BTW the Axial feedback only works on GFWL games on the PC and F1 2010 is one of them.
Its only about £45
Everything that I can find about that wheel says it is 360 only. Also cannot find it for sale.
I still don't understand why MS don't want logitech making wheels for the 360
I have just found pre owned for £45.50 online, The powers of search are weak in you my son.
Still glad I got my drivefx for £20 new last summer, just need something to mount it on, don't have enough room for a desk mount, office chair + carpet in the room could = a very cheap static stand? Any ideas?
Ive ordered the wheelstand pro for £95 for my M$ wireless wheel on Sat...its being shipped out today...been reading reviews about the stand and it seems that most people are very happy with it...its sturdy and folds away after use.

Whoa. Let's hope the game is good after investing all this money!
Yes, the change is slightly slower than expected for the top cars so you might say the majority are more like the HRT! Some of the scenarios that come with the replication of F1 cars pushes the physics engine into extreme territory. After all, the engine has been used with far slower cars. With accurate RBR shift speeds the car had a tendency to become ever so slightly unsettled in corners and we felt it was better to have the longer gear engage periods than to unsettle the car physically and visually. We'll iron that out in '11 which will also please madfiddler! (the audio lead).
I don't think we have the downshifts sounding right for 2010, no. However, this is so closely linked to the physics, there wasn't a great deal we could do. Should be big improvements on how gear changes sound (up and down) in 2011.
In terms of engine sound, we have slightly different sounds for engine manufacturers. Again, gear changes follow the physics, not the engine manufacturer.
