your well written review confirmed my thoughts on the car, not that I've ever driven one but it sounds like all the other american auto's I had - death by torque convertor! I like the beefier versions of this marque but your middle of the road variant fails to invite a second look when I see one on the motorway.

Great read, something to think about.
Just planning my route from Vegas - Mono lake day with Death Valley stop offs (lowest + highest points) and a nice convertible will be great for 30-35 degree heat.
The hertz deal looks great on this and will look at getting one of these booked up. DId you find it much of a struggle to get the Mustang over the 'similar', I honestly can't remember reading about that in your other thread?

Good review. Did you drive on the Pacific Highway? Slightly OT but I loved San Francisco and the Bay Area, visited Carmel and Monterey as well. Not been to LA as I don't see the attraction (for me personally). Been to Vegas on a separate trip, but sure wouldn't say no to having the chance to drive between them all. Didn't realise that these started at $27k, that's really not bad at all. Your economy figure wasn't bad at all considering it's a V6 auto, plus its always nice to be paying about half our prices in fuel

In all fairness he's clearly interested in cars and if you had to drive 2000+miles in a car you'd never driven before I'm sure at some point you would at least have a little think about it.

Fox did you drive around with the hood down all the time? we found it too hot and only drove around in <30mph zones where the a/c could keep the cabin coolish, we tried as long as we could fron San Diego to Las Vegas with the hood down but couldn't do it about 50 miles in had to put it up, neck and ears starting to burn.
Because he wouldn't have 5 minutes while his missus nipped into the services to get a drink, or fix her make-up, or whatever it is they do.

So, you like to calculate your fuel economy to TWO decimal places, review the wiper stalks, and feel the interior plastics also?
Maybe you would even consider some sight seeing between calculating your Average Economy, best tank-full average and your worst tank-full average ?
Perhaps you and Fox should go away together?!! lol.
Still, it gave me a laugh on such a dreary, wet day.

It doesn't take that long to do these things. MPG was done on a phone application, not with 10 billion graphs and a team of scientists...
Still, good trolling though. You can be proud of your closed mind.
For some people it hardly any time, but it seems for certain people it takes an awful lot more effort
Hertz still looking good, but MrLol I thougth they included all the insurance, that's what Fox has posted before?

He's already said the MPG calculations came from an android app, and you dont exactly have to go out of your way to feel the plastics on a car, unless you plan on spending a fortnight in one and never touching it ?
