The same argument can be applied to anything supernatural or mythical, I can't actually prove there are no Unicorns, mermaids & fairies or other mythical creatures etc. other than by their apparent absence but are you going to say that's not a good enough reason to doubt their existence ?
oh no, Spawn has hatched out![]()
How hard is it. You said
Where is this evidence. List it, list just one.
The onus of proof is on the person who makes an extraordinary claim - in the case of religion, that means it is up to the believer to produce evidence.
List please!

Not at all, doubt their existence all you like, it is a perfectly rational stance. What you cannot say however is that there is evidence that they don't exist.
Oh no, Izzy still making himself look foolish when it comes to religion.
Are you still seething underground??..i mean you and your fellow extreme atheists??...ready to make your move and educate people on how bad religion is etc etc![]()
My mate Spawn![]()
you know it all makes sense in the real wold
The claim in question is that there is evidence all around us that God does not exist. As I am not claiming he exists I am asking for the evidence to back up this claim.
Is that still not proof that it does not exist simply because they couldn't detect it?
I don't think anyone would actually need evidence to accept that they don't exist would they?
Do we now finally accept that the Loch Ness monster is a big money spinning hoax because the Loch has been repeatedly scoured with every electronic detection device on the planet & found nothing, no photographic proof other than hoaxes either.
Is that still not proof that it does not exist simply because they couldn't detect it?
The evidence that god does not exist is simple, it's by his total absence, just the same as Unicorns, Fairies & hobgoblins don't exist except in books so there's a very good comparison with religion![]()
Your mate??...lol no i dont keep mates like you around me who have absolutely no respect for other peoples beliefs or religion.
And funnily enough i do live in the real world...which many religious people do...we dont all live in a fairyland world which you atheists seem to think we do...of course im religious but i dont go round ramming my views down others throats unlike yourself
.
Spawn goes into nasty defensive attack mode as usual, expect this thread to go downhill rapidly from a more or less friendly discussion & exchange of views to baiting other posters whose view differs from his, & he says I have no respect![]()

What extraordinary claim did I make? He was the one who said he had evidence God did not exist.
Also go back and read the post about absent of proof is not proof of absence or what ever it is.
Harsh! You support an institution that is piously unquestionable. In the rest of the world questioning things is normal - why can't we question religion? Why is it so offensive to the likes of yourself?
The extraordinary claim is that a god exists - the onus of proof is on the person making that claim, not on the person who questions claim.
