Do you fold the page or use a bookmark

I very rarely finish a reading session on a random page, it has to be the end of the chapter, so most of the time I just remember the chapter number. Otherwise, its usually a train ticket as I tend to keep them :p

You guys who say you remember page numbers, Do you remember them or write them down? As i dont think i could remember!! I know its just 1 number, but I read for an hour a day, at night. I can imagine i'd forget over the course of a day

fold page, i only read it once, not pretentious to have a display in my house to show off my "book 1337ness" uncultured slob etc

Anything lying around as a bookmark. If I can't find anything, I fold. Current book has folds :p

I always use a bookmark and always a different bookmark for every book. I generally use something like a ticket or other thin item to remind me of where I was when I first read the book.

Light, thin bookmark for me. Anyone who folds pages, or opens books far enough to crease the spine, is a Philistine tbh. :p You'll be telling me you don't wash your hands before picking up your books, next. :D

I suppose the only exception, for me, is a workbook (and certain textbooks). You know the kind, almost designed to be written in, annotated, stickied, folded etc. But those aren't really 'books' in the everyday sense we're discussing here.

I care about my books so no, I don't fold the pages, gets on my **** nearly as much as people who bend the book around on itself so they can hold it with one hand.
Agreed. Even worse people who do it to library books..... it's not your book so don't treat it like it's yours to do with as you like.

If you own the book, feel free to fold the corners. If it's from a library, it's not yours, so you should not.

I personally use a beer mat :p
