What do you think of the new IMDB?

Not a fan of it. Have to scroll towards the bottom just to get to the FAQ's bit for any given movie, when previously it would be on a link on the left sidebar.
 
I like it. I like the way it list's the biggest actors of each film and a photo link to their own IMDB page. On the flipside I like the way you can go onto an actors page and it lists the films they are most known for by the movie poster.

The only thing I'm not so keen on is that it seems to list less people in the cast list unless you click on the 'full cast and crew' link.
 
I just don't get these website redesigns. Same with Youtube, Ebay etc, they all worked perfectly fine until they went and knackered them. Slightly more visually pleasing but 10x harder to use.

Its worse, some sites need to keep it simple when it comes to raw information like wikipedia does and imdb did before the update, the design is poor because its different and i can't see the information all in one place as quickly!

Oh yeah and whats with the one post per page forum threading they've been using for ages, pathetic!

If you have an account you set the forum to act like a normal forum which shows all the posts at once lol. Just like you can switch the new design back to the old one if you have an account.
 
I could read more info without scrolling with the other design, so I don't really like the new one.
 
I'm glad they have an option for the old design. That should hopefully calm the moaners a bit, whilst the rest of the world, who aren't particularly troubled by a few extra pictures on a website, carry on with our lives.
 
Someone's really going to have to explain to me how youtube and ebay are now ten times harder to use than they were before. I can still view videos and buy stuff fine thanks.
