Ok has anyone got any installation video for an after-market cpu cooler for the akasa venom CPU cooler on a AM3 socket.

People please try and find something because I've looked for the past few days and I can't seem to find anything useful.

Well just downloaded the Installation guide from the website and that still shows it using the AMD Cam lever system on the original AMD Mount, so soz mate I've no clue, if theyve changed it to the screw type mounting then I've got no idea. But the contents still show the Cam lever also, so they obv havent bothered to update the site then.

Ok so can some one just write up or post a video of someone removing an amd back plate. I'm quite a cautious person so I need to do my research.

you downloaded the v1 guide and not the v2 guide i guess as i just downloaded the v2 and it shows the correct new fitting method.

Yeah Chipps is right, just found a picture of what comes in the updated package and it does come with a replacement backplate, theyre usually pretty easy, unscrew the four screws on your socket, take off the old back plate and plastic socket and just stick the new one on in its place, probably held in place with some kind of retaining screws. Its pretty straightforward when you get them in your hands, and it probably comes with a revised manual instead of the one that akasa have for downloading(Well Ive got, for some reason I can only see one version on my page but meh I get CBeebies wrong too lol)
