Yep, if you burn 1500 calories and eat 2500 calories you will get fat and it has nothing to do with slow metabolism or any other excuse.It's not what you eat, it's how much you eat (in the case of the italians).

But for the people with a BMI of 30+ it's fairly accurate as they most likely suffer from fat and not muscles.
