Anyone have any ideas why I cant use GFWL - it's really annoying I can't save games.

I have cleared cache, opened ports etc but nothing but a connection error. o2 Wireless box here.

Im running a e8400 cpu clocked @ 3.75 ghz a 8800 gtx graphics card and 4 gig or corsare dominator memory.
Game works perfect smooth game play and playable even at 2560x1600 res.
I realy cant understand why other people with much faster machines are having problems im maxing this game.

I'm using an E6300 @ 3.3Ghz and my game is running smoothly. I think the big problem that a lot of people are having has to do with running an AMD cpu and/or ATI/AMD video card.

The moral of the story is that if you want good performance in the latest games, buy Intel and Nvidia.

I do accept that there are some using the Intel Core i7 CPUs with Nvida cards with problems, but I think the vast majority of problems are being reported by those using ATI setups.

Strange, nearly all the people on the Codemasters forum having framerate problems and low cpu, gpu usage are on Nvidia GPU's with a mix of AMD and Intel CPU's.

Im on Nvidia GPu and Intel CPU and have both low cpu and gpu usage and framerate stuck at 25-30fps.

Maybe that's why I'm so ridiculously rubbish. I love the cockpit view though, never been into the T-cam camera, but I'll give it a go after I watch FP3 to see if I can drive any better.

Check out post #2289 by p0ss3s3d, it has a mod for an improved cockpit view. Much more drivable now, definately worth getting!!!

Bovine Public is mine.

Still undecided on this, i need to get the wheel settings tweaked abit more to something im comfortable with.

Some incredibly sweeping statements there...

I am also noticing that realworld benchmarks are favoring nvidia more and more. Their cards at a 50-100 quid(ish) lower pricepoint are beating ATIs cards at the higher price points in an even amount of benchmarks, if not coming out on top.

Personally I think I'll be going nvidia next time around - or at least wait until both companies have their range out.

Not prepared to get into an NV vs ATI debate.

/Closes can of worms.../
