It is an awesome game, you have to remember though the critism is no different to what will happen to Fifa 11 when that comes out, fifa 10 was riddled with bugs and hardcore fans of a sport get frustrated sometimes with stupid things that should never have got through testing. Like the pitstop frustration, did they not play career mode in testing? The same goes with sector 3 times or being able to look at your team mates set up. They should have spent less time on developer diary videos and more time testing the bloody features :D

It is though a very good game and for £30 a definate keeper and day 1 purchase I'm happy with. After all I will be grinding this until the next one.

you would have thought Anthony davidson would have picked the pit lane bug up , was he not a test driver for this game anf irl:eek:
 
Holy ****. Where the hell has my pace gone. I was able to do well for the first 4 gps especially in qualifying. At Barca I came last and at Monaco i'm 3 seconds off the pace of 23rd :(

I cannot see where the hell to make the time up. I'm flying, I've shaved 3 seconds off with a lap I thought I'd nailed. I've whacked the downforce on and I'm still nowhere.

I've switched to high cam and it's so much easier than chase view. The car turns in much tighter even with the same car set up.

Just tried the GP mode on monaco with TC on. I can post a 1.26 with no gadgets and only a 1.25 with TC on full :(

If i have already played it can i still take it back as i noticed that but didnt take any notice but it seems it is a very large problem that is bigger than i thought.
 
Im taking mine back to hmv and i they refuse i will kick off in the store lol and they wont sell any more copies of the game :P

Game isnt fit for purpose if you really want to be picky?
 
Why don't you wait until it's been confirmed by codemasters rather than an individual posting confirmed as his title?

I know there is something a miss but it might not be as straight forward as that guy says.
 
COnfirmed by them? lol codemasters arent going to come out and say

Yes we couldnt be bothered coding ai drivers who can qualify and race so we just made up some ghost cars and made up their lap times

Theres a massive thread with people confirming it, i think its pretty clear cut that its true

Well i will do i guess..monday there announcing something? how long does the big green supermarket give for refunds? 28days?
 
I thought it already was confirmed that the Practice and Qualifying laps were made up, as confirmed by the guy at Codemasters from his Twitter account, posted by Cobra on the previous page....

@T4RG4 Love the game, but 1 question;why don't you use real times in quali and practice? I caught Webber on track, but his time was faster?!

Meh big deal about the AI track times etc...i dont see it being a problem in all honesty but hey good luck trying to get a refund...id be surprised if they even entertained that thought;)

Anyhow just finished Bahrain in the career mode...i qualified 3rd in my lotus...god know how i did that but i wasnt complaining....then ended up being 2nd for most of the race until my pit stop put me back in 5th...after all the pitstops were taken by other drivers i found myself again in 2nd place with a couple of laps to do...but i nudged someone ahead of me so i had 10 secs added...hardly touched him but was deemed a collision:p...anyhow last lap trying to get past Hammy and he ends up putting me in the gravel lol...still managed to finish 4th but with the time penalty ended up 6th i think...the game is tough and takes a lot of concentration...i only did 20% of the race as i cant see myself trying to do 100%:eek::p

Banging headache though....wheel definitely makes it much more smoother i find and im slowly getting to grips with the wheel as the first time i played it Thurs night i had major probs with the wheel.
 
Invalidated lap, God knows how many times i get this by just going a little wide during TT's.

Not even trying to cut corners, Just going wide.
Pad user here too, So you can imagine i get this a lot of the time..

MP is just rubbish, The amount of total nabs who try to run into you.. Especially those who wait on the track for someone to pop up.
Ghost car during TT's is great, I have someone i can compare myself too, Having it during races is silly though.

Nonetheless, I've been impressed with Career mode and doing a few TT's.
Mastered Bahrain pretty much!

Playing with assists on with BA OFF and DRL corners only.
Trying to play with them all off is near enough impossible with a pad anyway.

:( if that is confirmed by codemasters then unfortunately i will be returning mine.

I can just about accept that in practice and qualifying its scripted BUT in an actual race?

How can there be real racing going on if its scripted? :confused::confused: If the cars on the track dont race they are just there as scripted obstacles bearing no relation to the race times then thats fubar.
