need somewhere in the middle ground...

standard is too dark/grey
modded is far too colorful/bright.

because they tried to make it realistic?

there are plently of races i have had that have been bright and sunny.
conversley to that you get the dull overcast days.
i really cant see why people are moaning about the way the game looks, its fine to me?
the graphics are not astounding but very very accpetable.
the weather is realistic an overcast day looks overcast? why would i want to mess with modding the game to make it look bright?
you may as well go and play mariokart

in other news, had a few good 1v1 races against thundycat earlier

very enjoyable, convinced him that an Xbox pad is required :p [rjk 2-1 thundy]


all of the OcUK tech team are planning a GP race tomorrow evening if anyone wants to join in with us. it will be strictly no crashing and very sportsman like.

my gfwl is RICH NVOMif you want to send a request. fun will start around 9pm ish

Its just the ENB mod mate. Nothing else modified at all.

I love it. Ferrari's are actually now red :)

One thing that is really winding me up is that during practice, my engineer will keep telling me Trulli (team mate) is lapping much faster than i am and that i should use his setup, blah blah when in fact, I'm like 2 seconds quicker than him. :confused: My fastest time puts me in 11th and hes like 21st :mad:
 
This is insane, Ive been racing all night with AI set to the easiest difficulty.

The first race I won with ease but now they are hammering me, I cant touch them.

I mean, I dont think I could lap any quicker than I am !

yeah i've had that with a couple of tracks (on intermediate) and with 2 blown tires in the last 3 races i'm gonna call it a night lol

also, how do you copy your team mates setup?
 
I just had my Steam account disabled, the only thing I can think of is the VPN business with F1, no chargebacks or anything like that. The long wait for support to reply begins.
 
Did a few new tracks last night. Still cant get that Monaco hairpin done and didn't think much of Abu Dhabi, but I did really well at the new South Korea track and Interlagos!!!
 
Anyone else having problems with setting the controls???

I can't access the advanced features to change wheel settings - will try to reinstall the drivers for my Momo Racing wheel.
I'm unable to make wing or engine adjustments in race (W and E key) and can't find anywhere to map them to other keys.
 
Have to echo what (most) other people are saying - it looks awful as standard when you compare side by side with the ENB lighting.

It's not grey and miserable with a sheet of brown cling film over the screen when you watch it on telly, so why make it like that in the game?
 
Ok finished my first career game last night using keyboard :( (don't have a wheel) played on easy mode for Bahrain and finished last in qualifying and last in the race a good 25 seconds behind the next guy :( I didn't even spin out or crash.


Good thing is that there is room for improvement.

Any tips apart from get a wheel?
