Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

im up to catalunya in he season, what an awsome track it is, so fast and flowing, my favorite track so far.

webbers done a 1:22:9, i can manage a 1:25:9.

I read a lot of stuff on the codemasters forum about Catalunya and one of the sectors the AI does a stupidly fast secotor time about 2 secs faster than the rest.

I struggled there a lot in one of the sectors.

Can you not watch the AI during replays or is the camera stuck on your car?

3 seconds seems like a genuine gap considering in min a lotus.

Why didn't you just wait for a better team instead of getting stuck with lotus for another season?

Because other teams didn't like something about me. I doubt you can get offers from Mclaren / Red Bull / Ferrari in the first year. There were Virgin / BMW etc but they didn't like me.

With the upgrades I'm getting with Lotus I should be able to contend for the Championship in 2011. I'm currently 5th. 10 races in.

I have mine on medium "game" setting, but tweaked so the AI is on professional.

Haven't had chance to practice as much as I'd like, but with all assists off the Lotus is 2-3 seconds off the pace which I think is realistic. Some tracks are harder to keep up with the AI though as they never seem to make mistakes.

If you're getting higher than 10th in your first season then it's not really real. I'd say the Lotus is a 12-18th kind of car :p

I'm pretty sure once you change the assist, it becomes "custom", that's what mine says now anyway, I started with selecting legendary.

Ah ok, I've got interest from BMW Sauber but have to get my rep to 15 I'm currently on 13. Race 14 so I reckon I might hold out for that. Unsure how the upgrade thing works, when you start the 2nd season does your car stay great or not. Can you carrying on upgrading to win the title with lotus or keep moving teams?

Came 2nd at Spa a very distant second, I just couldn't get through Eau Rouge without lifting. I was hoping for rain because I set my pitstop to the 2nd last lap. I could then have carried on and pitted once for wets and the AI would have to pit twice because they usually pit early. Sadly the rain despite being 40% chance never came :D

Yea, you car will keep improving (R&D check monitor). You can move team every year etc but have to earn No 1 driver on half-season review to get the upgrades to your car first.

You lifted on Eau Rouge!! You must be using a pad then :D MUCH MUCH MUCH easier with a wheel but I'm sure you already knew that :D

Yeah a pad, I have option but to lift slightly on the right handed part. I was still quickest through the first sector so i wasn't that worried and I knew no one could overtake me there :D

I haven't lifted once on Eau Rouge yet using a pad. Danny, hold the stick forwards and turn, makes it a lot smoother.

Just raced round Melbourne, leading, got a puncture at the very start of the last lap. Somehow dragged it to 3rd by blocking a lot on the straights.

The secret to Eau Rouge is the entry. Turn in early or use more of the kerb than the racing line says to.

Doing it lap after lap is hard, which is why lifting is easier during the race.
