Basically the yellow line runs all way down the road, a sign further up says no parking between 8am and 6pm (no where near the parking bays so I assume meaning on the yellow line only).

My question is, these parking bays are behind the yellow lines and off of the road and clearly marked up as parking bays but nobody seems to use them.

Can I park here or am I going to get a ticket?

No signs anywhere saying private parking or blah blah blah will be clamped etc etc.

Nothing says there is clamping in operation which I thought was a legal requirement?

As I say nothing says its private property, there are businesses around but they are walled off from here.

yeah whatever ticket you get will be from the land owner, not from a council parking officer for breaking the single yellow rules.

Can't clamp without prior warning that you may be clamed for parking there.

Not enforceable no, which is why I mentioned the court order.

There are clamping firms who will clamp you regardless, even put up signage after the fact and rely on you needing your vehicle immediately thus forcing you to make payment to release it.

There is a reason why clamping is being outlawed after all.

I'm in a city centre right next to a police station ironically, so hopefully can avoid those.

In all honesty can't see anything wrong with parking where I have but only time will tell.
