What to buy my system tomorrow although after reading a review it seems the

OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

is quite a bit better than

Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s

Is Sandforce better than the Marvell Controller and the OCZ write speeds seem far better.

I had gone for the Crucial but thinking of changing now.

Any opinions?

If your Motherboard has SATA 3 (6Gb/s) - Then it's worth going for the C300.

The C300 has super fast read speeds - over 300Mb/s

The 2E is also a top drive though - But doesn't hit 300Mb/s

It would be GA-X58A-UD3R from which i believe it does support it.

I suppose the other benefit of the 2E is that its write speeds are far far better, but i will be reading rather than writing i feel.

i use the 2e and to be fair i use it just for the speed of my os loading up and checking my mail and stuff. but i do use it for conversion programs and listening to music, but i do move files about a lot from the pc to usb hd and so on.

so depending what you got to what to buy.

c300 would be good if you want fast access to programs...

but if you tend to put a lot on the puter from dvd or bdisc then the 2e would be the best bet..

just figure out what you want to do first and then see what the walllet can take a good beating.... as ssd are costly little buggers.
