Looking to go away for a few days with my girlfriend, not more than 2 hours drive from Gatwick Airport... Any ideas guys? :)

if you like the beach you could go to southwold it's a very traditional seaside town

also its where Adnams (the beer) is made :)

Bournemouth, on the beach plenty to see and do around the area. Although according to google it is 2hours 2 mins away but I figured they may be wiggle room :)

Pretty much the only place in the whole of UK I'd consider as a holiday resort where I'd spend a weekend away.

Nice suggestion, but possibly the only exception that I forgot to include in my first post! My girlfriend goes to BoMo uni so we're down there quite regularly :p

Colchester's quite nice tbh!

Im a bit bored of it after 18 years, but theres never any trouble, quite a bit of History, and its kind of close to beaches and an hour on the train to London :)
