I explained what it was and why it has that name.
Yeah we know. But that name is just a legacy of the old convention, it is no longer relevant

If its still at stations its relevant.
Premium is still 95RON whether its a requirement to print it on the pump or not....

But Premium isn't necessarily 95RON if the standard says its 95 or higher? Premium could be 97RON.

Super is in a different standard (7800?) which is why its not mentioned I guess.

Are we ever going to get any further here or should we all mutually agree to give up?

The irony is, Fox used Simon's background quickly enough to discredit my claims of fuel economy gains![]()
Just filled up at a Shell and the options where "Fuelsave Regular Unleaded" or V-Power Unleaded"
Having re-read the BS EN228: 2008 I noticed the bit listing the changes from BS EN228: 2004 that says: "Premium unleaded petrol” becomes “unleaded petrol”. So I guess its up to the retailer if they call it Premium/regular/awesomesauce now as the Premium grade no longer applies in Europe
So who was right then?
