New Focus ST

Looks pretty fugly if you ask me. Much prefer the current one. That massive grill is the main offender. Like someone else has already said, it looks like Peugeot designed the front end, ugh.

Who gives a **** what it weighs - the GT-R weighs 1800KG, and that does just fine.

I want one :cool: It needs an option for smaller wheels, though (17"?)
 
guarantee this is one of those cars that visually we arent ready for right now, give it 6 months and it will be good looking to us

Hahahah nice one. The GT-R has 500bhp you muppet, and well, why did you even bring that up.

Of course weight matters, it effects handling, acceleration, etc.

Best looking Ford I've seen so far.... at least they are doing something a bit different rather than the typical "mundane for the masses" they usually kick out.

Because despite its weight, it still manages to go around corners exceptionally well.

I doubt the ST will weigh as much as 1500KG anyway, but regardless of its weight - it'll almost certainly be better than the last one, which was no slouch.

it does but if it is roughly the same as the old ST in weight (1400kg) and 20bhp more the new one has the potential to be a bit faster.

the comparison with a gtr is a bit ott because its still the difference between 0.17 bhp per kg and 0.27 bhp per kg but then I don't think anyone is suggesting a family hatch is as fast as a ground up sports car.
 
Oh dear.

That front is terrible, and as said already the rear looks like an Astra VXR.

I'm very disappointed, I'm still loving our ST-2 and as much as I knew the eco madness would kill the current 2.5/5 engine I feel the whole car has lost that special feeling I get with the current model.

Its just like every other hot hatch now, nothing special at all. It will be made even worse if there is no RS later on.
 
I think it's crap, and i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Another 2.0 Litre 4 pot turbo? Wow thats original. At least the ST had a 5 pot and a bit of character.

The front is gash.
 
The front looks horrid in my opinion, but I guess I need to see one in the flesh first. I agree that we don't need another 4pot 2.0 Turbo in the world... the current Volvo 2.5T is full of character and is the best part of the car (in my opinion). It's just a shame the Eco Tree huggers managed to kill it off.

Certainly won't be trading the RS in for one.
