Probably hardy worth posting this but if you have any deactivated UO accounts you can log in for nothing for 14 days as of yesterday. No need to go to the accounts page, just log in with your details and you too can thoroughly depress yourself at how desterted and rubbish the game is now.
 
Thought about this the other day, had a look to see if I could pick it up anyware cheap in the hope that it could fill a weekend. Amazed its still going as nowhere sells it (apart from EA store and hardly cheap on there)
 
I was going through an old hard drive and came across some Old Uo screen shots outside brit bank, all the true black mares, 1337 white wyrms, order and chaos dudes ganking each other, selling 10000 iron ingot trammel spam.... lol happy days!

I logged in about a year ago and it was utterly dead, guess its even deader now.

Start humming the lord British song in your head, it will drive you to insanity.
 
I'm tempted to, just so I can ride around Vesper on my ethy but it'll depress me. I'll see one or two peeps and maybe a lone city guard wandering near the bank... - and that was my very experience about two years ago when I did return to Europa.

I may install just for the sake of it. I think my latest version is that Samurai one, just need to find the box. It's sad that EA had to ruin any chance of Ultima X: Odyssey from happening years back.

I still remember the good old days with horrible accuracy.
 
DiE are still going... Christ.

That is pretty much the only guild tag I saw. I also saw not a single person in Fel, besides me. Apparently, according to the DiE bloke, PvP is pretty much only factions now but is fairly active.
 
Got my account details first time, logged in but only saw five people doing the rounds via the runebook.

Obviously lost all my uber houses and everything in them long ago though.

Without macro's I am crippled and I can't be bothered to set them all up again.

I remember DiE, good old Armstrong!

Logged in first time. Off to dead-end europa I go. Europa's main cities were all but dead. Tram West Brit Bank was very different though, like an event had taken place as the bank was transformed. I saw just two players pass me by. Didn't goto Fel though as I had a ton of olde school weaps on me. Seems my bank is full of old arti's/rares etc.

current UO is rubbish, but i started on the Second Age shard 3 weeks ago and its ace! Exactly how UO was before they ruined it and a really big playerbase of former UO veterans. I'm not sure whether its ok to provide the link on OCUK but if you google "Second Age Shard" you will find everything about it. I can provide some gold for new players if you want :)
 
I remember playing on a player run shard a while ago, it was one of the real popular ones - could have been Hybrid. Ended up quitting after a few weeks because all I saw was reds and more reds and nothing else. I just couldn't even get to my house half the time.

I still have most of the gear that you gave me when you left Hybrid Kainz. Although I haven't played in a while I still log in every other week just to refresh the houses and yes it's just chock full of reds everywhere.
