can't get the stema voerly to work (long shot :p) and windowed mode is impossible but alt tabbing out and backi nseems to be fine, and the seond screen is playing films/tv on windows media player no problem at the same time.

oh good lord yes! i always found the first mission where your agaisnt the other dungeon master hard!.. maybe like level 4 or 5? and theres like a river between you both! ahh so exciting and ive not even got home yet!

I remember getting my first Horny Reaper!.. he killed everything i had.. oops! i was young and naive!

EDIT:just realised, i never actually completed the game :( got very close to the end mind you!... and i was 9 Years old! :o jebus this game is well old!

Every time after the first always built him his own dungeon with training room food lair etc separated by a long corridor filled with locked doors :p

did you ever find out what he scavenger room did? the one with eyes on tentacles i never remember finding out :o

ohh yeah i remember that, nah never found out... in that day and age you couldn't "google" such things :D

Scavenger Room
The scavenger room allows you to head-hunt enemy creatures and convert them to you side. Drop a creature in the scavenger room and it will, starting with the lowest level creature of its own type before working its way up and on to other creatures. This costs money. Putting more of the same type of creatures in the room increases the chance of scavenging that creature. A Vampire also increases the chance of scavenging creatures. Each creature in the room takes up one tile.
Room Size: 9 tiles attracts Hellhound

Saw this thread, about 5 hours ago, since then I've been reliving my childhood with DK2 :D

Well not so much childhood, I was 14 when it came out but damn it brings back so many memories, "your treasury is too small". Best voice overs ever.

To get it to work in W7 64bit all I had to do was set it to win98 compatibility mode, then disable visual themes, desktop composition and disable display scaling on high DPI settings. Some people said they had to disable 3D acceleration but it worked fine for me, alas only at 1024x768 but I'm a fan of dosbox so that's not too much to worry about, I'm used to playing the original civ in 800x600 or whatever that runs at.
 
Seeing those screenshots just makes me want to start it up with the fix but games are piling up :(. Recettear, Minecraft, DK and back to WoW next week after a 3 month break, meh!
 
I replayed DK2 the other month and nearly finished it but never did. going to replay it again soon.

I completed DK1 on release. Classics and brings back some of my best gaming memories.

played it for a bit last night, all i wanna do atm is play some more! :D ... think its bad to download it at work? ^^
 
I love DK2 (still got original in box), especially when the female fetish demons whip you and say"Ooh Master, you have been a naughty boy!"

if you play the game on a full moon (or change your clock to a day that's a full moon :p) you get a bonus level
 
Does the super secret thing about halfway through the topic include the 'Deeper Dungeons' addons?

Those levels were amazing back in the day, really took a lot of effort to complete!
