Yeah it kind of depends on how you see both shows. I personally preferred B Gata H Kei because it was mostly in the dialogue and funny scenes and without having to go fan-service in-your-face borderline hentai that KissxSis does. But yes, the teacher was my favourite character in KissxSis since she is a Samurai loving closet Otaku and her voice is just sexy cute lol. :D

Personally I found KissxSis a bit over the top and preferred B Gata H Kei to it and preferred Seitokai Yakuindomo to that.

Anyway ... looks like a K-On movie has been announced at the end of the final episode. :)

I hope it isn't just going to be the tv series condensed into a movie though.

Highly unlikely considering this show has no real interesting story-driven plot so that would be really silly.

The movie will most likely be some sort of extended fun trip or massive concert the characters will go on or take before moving on with their lives i.e. before the main 4 going off to university and something for Azunyan to spend more time with the girls.

I think this as well ... should be interesting.

In other news I got my replacement Toradora part 1 disks today ... look ok physically so I may rewatch them at the weekend.

Fingers crossed, eh Andi? :)

I think it was the whole over the topness that I found so damned funny, will have to see what I think of Seitokai once I get a chance to watch it.

Hopefully the new disks are ok, the reports that I have seen by people who have received and watched them so far seem to be pretty good.

Now just need my Toradora Pt 2 which is on it's way at the moment, (oddly the shipment method on the TRSI order is not FIMS but is instead BROKERS WORLDWIDE ? ... wonder how long it'll take this time ...)

So I just marathoned Seikimatsu Occult Academy earlier as it was something that I totally forgotten about and seeing as the last episode was released a few days ago.

Very interesting with the occult stuff using some well known material to add to the theme and story. The animation is very high quality and some nice character designs; Maya, oh does she have some sexy legs :p. Then there is the comedy, some of which is perfectly timed and unexpected i.e. Epsiode 4 with the Moth creature chase and "Three meters" part, I LOL'd so hard with that.

As for the ending, that was totally epic in a cheesey "Shounen Manga" style for Bunmei, but also absolutely hilarious because of what was left in the end, Maya and his younger past self. You could quite literately say that the sexy older "Onee-san" took him away. A Happy end, but either way, pretty sure Bunmei is still the whipping boy for Maya. :D

Coincidently I just finished watching Occult Academy about an hour ago. :)

I thought it was an ok show overall, not bad but had potential to be better and could have benefitted from more episodes. Wrapped up fairly nicely despite the last 3eps feeling incredibly rushed.

Yeah I wished it was longer as well, but still, not bad for another Anime no Chikara project. I hope there will be more interesting things coming soon.

I need to go back and finish this series having stopped watching it at around episode 4 or 5 ... from what I saw I found it to be quite good so it's definitely on the list to watch through ... but it's the usual problem of having the time ... (especially as sorting digital media out at the moment has thrown up quite a few things which I haven't got around to viewing yet ...)

Most likely the same as it usually does as it seems that they're shipping items into the UK and then having them sent on to the customer (the last set of items I ordered from them also had that listed as the shipping method and when the package arrived it had a TNT post marking instead of the usual DHL post mark with a UK return address) and that took about 2 weeks to get to me.

Looks like someone wants to take on the likes of the Square computer animated movies. Shame the trailers not higher quality, but it looks pretty decent and another step forward from what can be seen.

I got a Star Wars: Episode 1 vibe when the spaceships decended from the sky due to the awesome soundeffects.

Kind of looks like something from a videogame, but since it has Mechas, counted me in as interested!

Started watching Welcome to the NHK.At episode 7 now,but this is friggin GREAT.Haven't had that much laughs in a very long time :D

Yeah it's a good show that really dives into the whole Hikikomori/NEET sub-culture problems that Japan suffers from a lot.

Never really liked Welcome to the NHK that much ... I don;t know why but it just seemed to try to hard at times to be anti-cool ... it was ok but I just don't rate it that high.

Haven't seen Planzet yet ... just hoping it's not to much "ooo look at the purdy graphics we can do" over story ...

Finshed Library War earlier ... not a bad little series set in a future Japan where there are two armed groups, one censoring books which are deemed as bad influences and one protecting the libraries and publics rights to have those books. Quite a bit of action but quite a nice story as well ... very open for another series but could have really done with being two cours to flesh out the story more.

trailers (theres a couple more in the links at the end) to planzet looks like it could have potential, the cg looks pretty good, maybe not the best I've seen but no worse than vexille so it's still more than watchable.

Well watched a couple of things this morning before going up the hospital

ToHeart2 adnext OVA 1 - More of the same from the ToHeart2 stable ... reasonably amusing (if you are familiar with the series) but not enough Tamaki (except during the ED).

Planzet - I'd say the CGI animation is pretty good, the animation of the people for instance was better than in TO the other day ... but the plot wasn't that great. It felt like you had too small a view of what was going on and I didn't really sense any dramatic build up despite the storyline. In my opinion it falls foul of the problem most of these CGI things can run into ... all the time and budget go into making it look as good as possible and only a small amount goes into the plot. edit: Thinking about it instead of a film it feels like the final episode of a series, but watched on it's own without any of the build-up.

Hadn't heard of TO so had to go look for it. Considering the person who did appleseed (cg) did both vexille and this film, it seems that he's lost his mojo, vexille suffered from the same issue (for me) in that it seemed to miss something in the plot. Appleseed on the other hand I rate as quite simply one of my top 3 cg films (along with ex machina and final fantasy advent children).

The CG in the trailer to TO also looked poorer than I would have expected (note I do cad rendering etc for a living so may be a little harsher), it may be a strange thing to say but you can tell it's cg, not because of the materials used but because it looks like the models were just stuck over the top of a background with no integration etc. A little depth of field on would have worked wonders on things like the space ship floating over earth or coming into land etc.

To be honest the best thing I thought with TO was the OP video sequence ... personally I tend to prefer normal 2D animation over 3D CG animation in the majority of cases.
