No talk of 530i's here!

Today i have undertaken the task of changing our downstairs bathroom into a utility room with separate toilet, and replacing the whole kitchen.

I have coming next Wednesday a solid oak door kitchen with oak block surfaces.

already purchased and delivered are the Hob, Extractor and oven and sill to come, tomorrow morning is the Fridge.

To follow pics of the current kitchen (with a few tools dumped in it) and the work so far on the utility room

This is the kitchen as it currently stands

the door frame is too far to the left to have a full width work surface there so we've had the solid wood surfaces so it can be shaped

washer to be moved into the utility room along with the dryer on the other side

The utility room, this was a functioning bathroom this morning!

we were going to have to run a 6mm cable to the kitchen for the hob but there appears to be a defunct one that used to go to an electric shower before we updated to a combi system. the wire was hiden in the wall behind the plaster and tracing it back it goes all the way to the fuse box!

going to hold the washer and dryer and have a separate little toilet behind a wall, one of the old tall kitchen units is going to be fitted to space behind the door for some extra storage

we had to change the mains stop **** this morning too as once we removed the bath we could see the extent of the leak!

there is't one in the street so we had to use a pipe freeze set. first time i've ever used one of these and i was rather dubeous but we have successfully managed to change it and no leaks!

i especially like the tiles that look like mold!

it was in the house when we moved in 7 years ago and we have made the most of it but now it's time for change.

highlights of the new kitchen include

4 ring induction hob

Pyrolitic self cleaning oven

700mm wide fridge freezer complete with wine rack

curved glass chimney extractor (ceiling being dropped and piped across the void so it vents outside and not into next doors kitchen)

a hidden 800 wide cuttelry draw within another draw

soft close everything

and a pull out larder cupboard with wire shelves.

The space is 800mm wide by about 1500mm long so should fit the toilet and a small bason with enough room for the ark of the door.

i have to be honest i didn't think any one was that bothered but i'll finish the pictures off to completion......
