Would this speed up my boot time?

I currently have 2 HDDs in my PC. One contains all my data and the other is a backup. I have never used the backup so I am thinking of backing up all my important stuff to another drive and putting my os and apps onto one drive and my games and steam stuff (which starts on startup) on the other drive. Would this speed up my boot time? I currently have the stuff split but via a partition on one drive.

It would have back in the day when HDDs weren't as quick as they are now.

You should invest in an SSD if you want a real speed improvement.
