Apparently Ben Collins is moving to 5th gear. Wonder how long before he gets fed up of the incessantly giggling tart hosting the show?

5th Gear is terrible because it tries so hard to be Top Gear but fails. This move only highlights this. Nobody cares about Ben Collins, only The Stig, which is a name Fifth Gear wont be able to use.

TBH TG is more comedic value while 5th has more emphasis's on the factual.

Is it really that much more though?

Everytime I end up watching 5th Gear it seems to be some rehashed TG bit or Plato/Tiff race.

Dunno, I like 5th gear more a bit because they actually talk about cars, a bit more indepth. Both shows have their draw backs.

Unlike Top Gear, 'this car is crap so we won't even review it, lets blow it up with a lynx helicopter instead and see if we can cook a chicken from the charred remains' etc.

I used to find it funny, but every time they trash something because they lack proper content it annoys me especially considering the licence fee etc. I've outgrown the humour.

I like the car v train, plane, skier and what not else episodes

But I can see why these guys are going to wrap up soon, its more comedy than serious cars imo.

I was under the impression that TG was a significant contributor to revenue, not a drain.
