Man v food! New season

Love this show (but not so much the Man V Food Presents which just rehashes bits of previous episodes)

When i went to vegas i ate in one the restaurants he featured and had what he did. I managed about 3/4 of it and was stuffed!

Every night at 9. The 2nd episode of the pair is a repeat though.

He is getting fatter, but as yet he's not massively/morbidly overweight

some of the burgers and sandwiches are awesome wish we had more places like this in uk

watched a few of new season

saw the chilli sushi one this morning

good to watch at night or weekend as you often get three or four back to back

doubt you could even find any places in the uk with those types of challenges and if you could it would probably be 5x more expensive than the american places

I dunno, one of the recent ones has him eating five steaks and a side. He has to pay $140 for the meal if he doesn't finish it. Thats just under £90 or £18 per steak. It's not like any of the places he eats are 3 star Michelin quality either.

no but they have food challenges of which i dont think ive ever heard of one in the uk and the majority of places claim to make everything in house

in newcastle nearly everywhere is buffets etc now and ive never saw anywhere with a food challenge here or in nottingham

maybe 5x more expensive is exagerating a lot, but in florida my son got a big t-bone steak for i think it was 14$ , a quick google for one in the uk and to buy one raw seems be be £25

There are some places in the UK that do this, just not very many.

BTW. I noticed quite a few of the recent challenges he does have only had 20-40 previous attempts. Is it a case of them using the show for publicity?

I did wonder that as well. To be fair though does it really matter if they are well established or new challenges.

Also how the hell did he eat that grilled cheese monstrosity? :eek:

I've eaten in that Hooks place (few years ago now mind) My God the service was slow in there. Don't think they had the 40oz Steak challenge at the time though.

Love watching Man vs Food, some of the stuff he shovels down himself you wonder how the hell he stomaches it, although some looks so nice. Mot sure i could manage those portions though...

New episode on tonight people - pea0n!!

There are a few with small number of previous attempts, Inc one where he was the first! Had an hour to eat something and done it in 28 mins! They will be dropping that limit to 30 otherwise anyone who can eat a fair amount will have it licked!
