Excellent advice there from Duff-Man. Great screens when they work but no aftersales support whatsoever. I've never had to go through that hellish process with them but it seems that it's all or nothing as far as Hazro monitors go.

Ended up ordering myself a ZR30W to replace my 305T. Just as I was about to pull the trigger on the Dell, I found the HP for sale at $400 off retail 
Hopefully this one won't give me a headache like my 305T+ did!

Yes but keep in mind when you're living in $, it's actually just as expensive if not more so to live over here. The only time I benefited immensely is when I moved here. It's not so rosy when you're spending $800 which is basically £800 on a new graphics card!

Should I sell my 3 24"rs and buy a 30"????!!
Tough call...
I was debating getting 3 * 24"-ers instead of another 30", but went for the 30" instead.
That said, if your 24s are good quality screens, you have the desk space, and you have the GPU horsepower to drive them, I would stick with what you have. The three 24"-ers give you about 50% more desktop space than a 30" screen, and about 70" more physical screen area. Of course, the downside is the bezels... It's up to your own perspective whether they bother you or not.
Really, it's a matter of taste.

I really want a direct side-by-side spec-by-spec comparison between this and the new U3011. I will definitely be buying soon, just need to read some properly impartial reviews comparing the two first.
Unfortunately, there are none right now. Hopefully anandtech has a Dell U3011, and will make such a comparison in their review. But who knows.
But as I pointed out, they use the same LG panel, so image quality should be very similar. The biggest different between the screens should be the additional feature set (which the Dell wins easily), input lag (which is far better on the HP), and price (the HP is cheaper).

i've found the u3011 for £5 less than the HP inc. vat, on pre-order.

EDIT: Message received; price is £1049+VAT, so around £1232 including VAT. A good £180 more than the HP.
Could still be worth the extra for those that want the OSD, scaler and extra inputs though.

Never used one myself, but it certainly is a well priced screen.
Based on the same LG panel as the Dell 3007, I believe? That's the same panel as was in the Hazro I had previously. That was a good screen too (while it lasted!).
I'm with you on the "output minimalism" thing. I'd rather go for a limited set of outputs, limited OSD functionality, and drive down costs and input lag. I have a regular TV for any other multimedia connectivity I might need

Received mine tonight, it's definitely a much nicer screen than my 305T+. It is however, ridiculously bright! Even at low brightness, it's probably brighter than my 305T+ at its highest setting.
I'd love to calibrate it too, it's a little too blue for my tastes but I think I'll adjust to it over time. Picture quality is superb, dot pitch is amazing and the colour gamut is wonderful to behold. I'm glad I held out for this one over the Dell

I agree that it seems very bright, although from the reviews it didn't seem like it was too far ahead of other screens. I also have it on a pretty low brightness. I don't have a sophisticated enough eye for colour to say whether the colours are off at all, but anandtech also found that it was pre-calibrated a little heavy on the blue end of the spectrum.

As mentioned previously it's too bright and I had to set the brightness at the lowest settings otherwise I'd go blind.
It's great for photos. Also very good for gaming.
Only in videos it seems a bit darker than normal and the colours are over saturated (blue and green mostly)
I haven't had a chance to calibrate it but would like to know what settings to use for it. Sadly no hardware calibrator here : /

Try set your brightness to 30 or less, it should be enough and will keep the screening lasting longer.
My HP LP2475W is at 17 brightness and if it's a similar panel which it probably is then try the above for sure.
Nevermind forgot it had no OSD lol but if you get software calibrated settings make sure the brightness is around that.

Oh my god duffman, you CRT sellout!
I had to turn my back on CRTs about two years ago, due to getting a series of migranes. I was spending a LOT of time in front of my screen, due to work pressures, and extra eyestrain from the CRT was giving me migranes
I think that these days high-end IPS panels are comparable to CRTs in most ways, and allow bigger screen sizes. It won't be until OLED screens that CRTs are truly "bettered" in every way though.Raralis: Glad to hear you're enjoying the screen
I've not noticed any "over-saturation" of colours; I guess that could just be a result of the very wide colour gamut? I find that this makes colours in videos and games very vivid, but I know that some don't like extended gamut screens.
