after seeing this thought i would get a quote as mine is jue soon, i will be paying nearly £200 more now than i would have 10 years ago, insurance has gone stupid.
At age 25 I insured my 206 GTI, TPFT, on a provisional license whilst I learned to drive for £1600.
Now aged 26, 1 years no claims, passed my test and have just insured my car for £1800, fully comp from Aviva. Every other insurer was coming back with ridiculous quotes of £2400+, not that £1800 isn't ridiculous mind you. TPFT quotes were all £3000+
Insurance scams are rife in my area but adding my old man as a named driver was knocking anything upto £500 off quotes.
I feel quite stupid, being almost 27 and having to add parents to my policy to bring quotes down.![]()
I'll bite; why?Mine drops at least £500 next year.![]()
I'll bite; why?

Are you really a bigger risk to the insurer? I don't personally think so.
That is crazy
When did you pass your test?
I insured my Civic Type R for about £650. I'm 26, 0 years no claims but 5years driving experience.
I am currently getting annoyed with my insurance and I am being asked for £506 for my 2.0ltr Primera GT. I am 22 and 5years no claims. I am looking to get it under £500.
After driving 5 years and having 4 NCB I put my sister on my insurance who had just passed for £90 for the whole year. I seem to remember paying £1500 on my mums insurance for a year. life is not fair![]()
