McDonalds Goop™ *note, the video in the first post has NOTHING to do with McDonalds*

Eating foie gras is eating the liver of a goose, not a very nice thought but it doesn't stop it from being one of the best tasting things in the entire world though.

Regardless of this whole 'do they use the pink goo or not' argument, it's not like they are adding some alien substance to it, it's not going to ravage your digestive tract or anything - if it tastes good and you want to eat it then good luck to you, fill your boots.

I dont see what the problem is, infact, it should technically be a GOOD thing as we would otherwise throw away parts of the animal which somehow "disgusting".

lol keep thinking that, they cant do that for the prices they offer, frozen or not

What ? For the prices they offer? McD is REDICULOUSLY expensive, 2.95€ or so for 6 nuggets, for the same price you can get 900 grams ( about 6) of drumsticks in a supermarket.

look at the ingredients list

also look here http://www.iceland.co.uk/page/view/retail_week_columns search for "chicken nugget"

maybe the boss of iceland is a lier though when he says
am incensed by the way the media always pick on the chicken nugget as the supreme example of junk food. At Iceland we are proud of our chicken nuggets, which contain chicken breast, breadcrumbs and, er, that’s it.

the same people that make iceland chicken nuggets is probably the same people who made the birdseye ones its ridiculous how people will pay more for different packaging

the iceland chicken BREAST strips only contain chicken breast aswell

Well I never eat chicken nuggets but do eat McDonald's burgers which are probably just as bad but only when I'm desperate and skint.

Do you have shares in Iceland?

Home > For busy mums > Why mums shop at Iceland

My mum is busy and she has never ever shopped at Iceland, how can they make money if they sell premium meat cheap, because its frozen or its garbage?

I know that, I posted it.

The point is that although the kids knew it was rubbish that went into the ones they saw made, they still wanted to eat it because it still looked like a chicken nugget.

and whats wrong with them wanting to eat it ? why is it rubbish ? its surely mostly water and isn't harmful at all despite having no nutritional value . one mans rubbish is another mans treasure. cheap , tastes nice (after flavourings added) , kids like eating them (try getting kids to eat 'new' things...)

i really think jamie should go look at how kids dont excersise (and why) and how they eat the same sized portions as their parents. a few chicken nuggets aren't going to do them any harm

If you've ever eaten chicken nuggets when cold, then it's pretty obvious that it's made from a little chicken blended with water, flour, etc

no do you have shares in misinformation?

face it the facts are they use chicken breast if you dont believe that why dont you try to sue them because there boss clearly states they use chicken breast if you can prove different you can become very rich.

next you will be telling us marks and spencers use better ingredients in there food when its generally well known that most people use the same suppliers and generally just stick there own label on food another company makes for them the same companies that will also make food for there competitors

Working for one of the biggest breaded chicken producers in the UK with customers such as all major supermarkets and fast food chains and having been into the factory during the production of "value" nuggets, I can safely say that link is BS. Nothing we produce looks anything like that. Any meat mixed created which looks red/pink is disposed of as a QA failure.

Its a picture designed to get a reaction. The cheapest products we make have exactly what is said on the ingredient declarations (legal requirement) and they do not lie. Yes there is processing done to get the shape. Yes it might be minced up and extruded before being formed but it does not look pink or red.

Thread should be deleted it's completely misleading and slanderous. McD's only use chicken breast in their nuggets, this muck is used in hotdogs etc.
