"Spec me..." Is it just me?

I don't mind 'Spec me' threads so much as all the 'funny' alternative names for the threads, such as 'Eyeglass me...', 'Telescope me...' etc

any worse than your "lol i bought chocolate milk" thread?

or
"oh noes I've lost my clubcard keychain what do i dooo"

or

"how do i make gravy"?

maybe i could have looked bit harder for the club card one but i dont see how any of them relate to spec me threads which is what the ops gripe is about.

i see nothing wrong with it for some stuff as you can get an idea of how good a camera is or good ideas where to go on holiday, some others are just pathetic however.

Howzit all,

is it just me who really hate thread titles starting with, "Spec me..a". Seems to be a common thing around here lately and it drives me nuts! :(

Think it is just me though.

/Rant over..

Yeah I just hate it when people ask for help on forums!

Why don't you start a thread with the title, 'Spec me a valid gripe'?

Get over yourself. It's just local slang. Obviously on a forum for a PC hardware shop you're going to get "Spec me a PC for £300 that'll run Crysis 2" and then it just spreads from there into other questions.

It's just part of the culture here.

The first part of your statement is valid. However I am referring to people who ask to spec a teapot or a towel or something, stupid like that.

By the way, I am over myself. Would you like a cookie too, to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, Mr. Vonhelmet?
