HTC Desire HD (Ace)

Well I guess they infact do. Managed to get a 12 month contract with a free phone.

Awesome :D

How much are you paying and what has that got you in terms of calls/texts/data to get a 12 month deal? I spoke to them a month back and it was like they didn't care. Was basically told I would have to take a 24 month contract.

You got a free HD on a 12 month contract? You must be paying out the ass on your contract every month and i bet you're already on a 12 month contract and are just renewing it.

£40 a month, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB internet. And my last contract was 18 months.

The best he could do on 18 month (with 1GB internet as a requirement) was £40 with 600 minutes (and free phone).

You must go massively over your bill regularly. I've spoken to the voda twitter team, and the best they can do is

£35 a month (18 months contract), 600 mins, 500mb internet, unlimited texts, £62 for the phone. Umming and arghing over it now

I used to be all for 18 month contracts, but since you can drop 24s down to the minimum monthly amount then pay them off you're not really locked in for as long as you think.

I ordered from MPD ages ago, unfortunately I entered my old email address by mistake so can't get any updates

MPD said they are unable to change it, looks like w/c 18th then?

the Desire z (G2) got a good review from engadget. They thought the battery life was good considering how much they were doing which can only really be down to how efficient the cpu/screen is. Hoping the HD has similar performance when anyone eventually gets a review unit!

I think I'm finally going to make a decision today as to how to get it (contract or simfree etc).

I hate that there are customer reviews on the vodafone site for this phone. it isn't out yet, how can you review it for crying out loud!

EDIT: does anyone know if T-Mobile contracts from MPD include that flexible booster and if so what is it set to as standard?

EDIT again: I've just placed my HD order. T-Mobile, 300min, unlim data & unlim txt. £30p/m for 18 months, £89 for the phone and £30 cashback at quidco. Total cost over 18 months £599. Selling my Hero will pay off 70% of my existing Orange deal.

Been due an upgrade for a few months now and waiting on the HD to be released. Just got to hope Orange will have it.

If not then god knows what ill do about an upgrade.

Hey all,

I am currently with Vodafone at the moment, I was wondering if its possible to get a PAK code, and carry this over going through a cashback website to someone like mobilephones direct, signing up to a new vodafone contract and keeping the same number?

Apparently PAK codes do not work this way and only work when you are moving provider? would there be any way around this?

Get a free sim, put the pac on that sim, wait a few days and ring them up and ask for another pac code. How I did it last time, I used Virgin I think.
