Anyone know why he did this? (police brutality)

Where does a policeman push someone off their bike? I see a cop walking back across the road to get to the safety of the pavement and a cyclist instead of slowing to let him across (pedestrians have right of way) went into him.

Even though the policeman speeds up when the bike is really close (as if to stop him from getting past)? He was even looking at him.

I think the cop deliberately tried to stop him but the cyclist seemed to lean in to ram him rather than stop or swerve. I think that's why the cop reacted the way he did.

He sped up to get out the way of the cyclist it was obviously one of those situations where neither quite knew quite what the other was doing. At the moment of impact the officer put out his hands to protect himself. Its very clear if you watch the video with an open unbias mind.

The cyclist is the one who should if any be done for assault even in the US they should give way to pedestrians instead he tried to rush on through even tho the officer had been moving towards the pavement for several seconds - long enough for them to slow down and let him get out the way.

Police Brutality or Cyclist Stupidity? Cyclists as ever forget that pedestrians have a right of way and choose to ignore basic traffic laws, if someone's crossing the road in front of you, you don't speed up to try slip down the inside of them you slow down or stop and let them cross.

Get your eyes checked.

What the police offer starts running/speeding up to catch him in time if he just walked he'd have missed the bike.

Dunno about you but when I'm crossing the road I don't speed up so i run into the side of a car.

If your crossing a road and it suddenly looks like your about to be run down by a car you don't always make the best decision its obvious the cop thought he could speed up and make the pavement in time and the cyclist thought he could swerve around in front of the cop and get through.

NO - it's pretty ****ing obvious the cop barged at him with his arms/elbows fully intending on dismounting or hurting the rider. Unless you're blind or stupid I don't understand how you can even question this.

He was trying to get to the safety of the pavement, pfft  He was being an abusive pig, no doubt.

Yeah I'm sure the cop decided to ruin his career by randomly pushing someone off their bike for no good reason infront of dozens of cameras.

Watch the police carefully they both turn around and start trying to make it to the pavement, there was absolutely no intention to knock the cyclist off. The one office made a bad call and thought he could get across before the cyclist.
