Any idea what this means? And what needs to be done to fix it?

Ok, thought that only wen't off when they deflate rapidly...

Guess you can't just visually guess when runflats need more air...

The annoying thing with this feature is that it doesn't tell you which tyre it is. How hard would it have been to programme that into the sytem?

Unless the tyre's completely flat, it'll be a slow puncture.
Check the tyre pressures with a proper guage (ie. not at a petrol station), to see which one it is.

My DSC light came on last night with the yellow warning one.. apparently a DSC malfunction.. just in time for winter..

Although, it'd gone by the morning.. :D I like self-fixing cars.

Another day, another new light. Red battery indicator.. battery not charging.. v-belt malfunction or alternator circuit malfunction.. will be getting the voltmeter out tonight it seems.

Had it's MOT on Tuesday too.. not very impressed.

Those two are likely related. DSC will shut down when battery voltage gets too low. It's almost certainly the alternator, though there is an outside chance its the belt.

lol at OP. Mate of mine had the same problem and was worrying that much he phoned the BMW garage and was trying to explain what the lamp looked like... was hilarious..... we stopped at a garage and then proceeded to pump 3 of his tyres up from 16psi :D

Yeh I did read that on another forum.. although my DSC light has not been on since so I hoped that problem had gone.

I've got a voltmeter at home. I will check the voltages tonight and see what I am getting. Hopefully that will help me identify whether its the battery, alternator or belt itself. But it has also got cold recently, so I am wondering whether that has brought this issue on.

Just go check your tyre pressures.. if they're all OK just reset the indicator and it should stay off.

Hmmm i had a similar problem on mine

When i was driving along i had the battery light flickering. Took it to a garage who saw that the battery voltage was a bit low when it was put under load and thought it might be the alternator.

Took it next door to an auto electrician who used a oscillascope and told me that from looking at it, he didn't think it was the alternator, but he could see that the battery was going flat very quickly.

Never saw the light flicker again and battery was fine. This was about 3 months ago.

I swear my car seems to heal itself - i've had a DSC+ABS light come on - never seen it again, emissions light - never came back, parking sensor failure - fixed itself after about a month and has been fine for the last 3 months, and the battery thing!

Love it :D

Well, the battery voltage is fine, just checked. So hopefully another stray light. I'm going to wing it until the light returns for any serious amount of time.
