Commonwealth Games spectators

Just flicked on to BBC Two and there's a fair few watching. Was watching the swimming earlier this week and there were only two people there!

True there's no chance of me remembering all 54 but I reckon I'd get to a dozen without too much effort and maybe more if I spent a bit of time thinking about it.

I've watched a bit of the Games so far and noticed that the crowds weren't huge for many events but they do at least seem to be quite enthusiastic so that counts for something. Not entirely impressed with the BBCs coverage though or more accurately that they're not sticking to the schedule they've laid out - particularly as they said the mens discus finals would be on at 13:00 today so waited to see it and they showed the womens 100m hurdles then the 200m womens as well, all very good and exciting but if I want to watch the mens discus final then what use is that to me?

Congrats to Rajiv Ouseph who narrowly won his badminton mens singles semi-final to meet, yet again, Lee Chong Wei, who's probably going to kick Rajiv's ass again in the final. I hope it's a bit closer than their last encounter but i can't see Rajiv winning; the Malaysian is an incredible player.
