If I hadn't decided to be "sensible" and put all of my money into a house deposit I would have probably been coming to see this!

My girlfriend would literally rip my head off if I spent half of our savings on a car. Do you have any pictures of it?

Isn't half of "our" savings, as in you and your girlfriend yours though? ...thus you can do what you want with it really.

If i see the chap with it tomorrow i will take a couple, it wants a few quid spending but it will be a nice car for someone.

I would LOVE to spend the money on a Porsche, I really would! I could buy it next month whilst she's on holiday, drive it for a couple of weeks and then sell it and put the money back in the account and she would be none the wiser...

So Jag wise what have you got? From what I've gathered, you've got this XJ (4.0?) and a further XK8?

Did you ever try the XJRs of the similar vintage as your XJ? If so, what was the reason you stuck with the 8?

I got an XJ8 3.2 and an XK8 4.2.

I didnt like the ride of the R's to be honest, i just wanted waft.

Also when i bought these two i wanted the very best condition low mileage examples i could find, as i intend to keep these.

The two i got are no exaggeration, perfect in every way, all new suspension on both, latest timing chains on the 3.2, the other had them already, both 1 owner cars 25k and 50k odd miles, just lovely unmolested in any way.
