New Simpsons Intro (banksy)

It's meant to be a satirical stab at those who said that The Simpsons is outsourced to cheap labour labs in South Korea.

I enjoyed it. Then again, im kinda dark.

I used to love The Simpsons, then Family Guy came along. I still watch the Simpsons, some of it is very very clever, just not laugh out loud funny. It's brilliant watching all the old episodes i used to watch when i was a kid, and noticing so many more subtle jokes that went right over my head as a kid.

although i admire banksy for what he's trying to do with this, there's a time and a place and a simpsons cartoon (even though they haven't been funny for 10 yrs now and i didn't even know they'd changed the original intro) is not the place to get this kind of message across. i'm very surprised that fox allowed this to pass

On a serious note, its a bit out of place in The Simpsons, even though allot of it is indeed true.

On a light hearted note, i thought it did very well at poking fun at the amount of dull work that's required in the animation/merchandising areas of this type of show (and rarely seen).

its stupid though

the first series 20 years ago was outsourced to south korea and lots of other american animations and films are.

korea has a world renowned animation industry with an abundance of highly skilled workers. america doesn't. makes sense to me, and its hardly sweatshops.

if he thinks south korea is like that then he comes across an ignorant racist. it is far from a third world country full of sweatshops and forced labour.

i suppose bankys prints his cheapo prints himself and binds all his own books ;)

Saw this the other day - hadn't realised he'd done the end, I thought just the beginning bit where 'Banksy' is on the billboard.

Weird, I know a lot of American businesses really have pillaged the Far East, but I didn't think the Simpsons or even Fox were one of them. Even if he was having a go at e.g. Gap or Nike it was, well a bit wrong and misplaced.

I think it's a bit rubbish, The Simpsons used to be a cartoon mainly for kids but with adult jokes thrown in.

Completely out of step with the idea of the programme IMO

Then again I don't get the Banksy love anyway, he's a graffiti artist
